About this listen

I caught her staring at me from across the quad, eyes fixed on the football jersey stretched across my wide chest. And if I flexed my muscles, showing off the strength of a defensive tackle, it was just to see her blush.

And then she did, and I couldn’t get her out of my mind.

Her wide eyes. The freckles on her cheeks.

I needed to know her. The girl who scampered away every time we bumped into each other—by accident and by design. The girl who shyly agreed to come to my game, getting her first taste of football. The girl, Hannah Utley, who worked at the campus library and let me rest my head on her shoulder as she read to me in one of the study rooms.

It was innocent. Mostly.

Until we lose track of time and discover that the library has closed. And we’re locked inside.

Now it’s me and Hannah in the stacks.

Alone.

With nothing but desire between us.

(This is a prequel to Love, Utley)

A great start!

What a great start to this series - a little sweet, a little spicy and leaves you wanting the next one immediately!

Hannah is the nerdy girl who works at the library on campus and is new to the university as a transfer student. Maddox “Mad Dog” is the big man on campus as a member of the football team. Their eyes meet across the way but Hannah runs to her class. After class, Hannah heads to lunch and then her job. Quickly she realizes she has gone the wrong way and turns around quickly. Are same time, Maddox is running after the pretty girl he saw before and leans in to touch her as she spins around and crashes directly into his chest. This collision leaves her with a bit of a bloody nose and a football player that is falling fast for her. They continue to spend time together and connect on a very special level.

I love a great meet cute story but a meet cute story that ends up with them being locked in the library overnight is delicious!

Enjoy this prequel and get ready for the rest of the story between Hannah & Maddox

Enjoy the read! Peace ☮️ friends!

Hannah and Maddox

This prequel is absolutely adorable! It gives us a glimpse of how Hannah and Maddox first met, from their clumsy run-in to those cozy study sessions in the library—and yes, there’s a steamy moment, too.

The audiobook was super cute, and I definitely recommend giving it a listen. It’s a cute, quick, and super fun read! A perfect prequel that sets the tone for Love, Utley beautifully. I’m excited to see where Hannah and Maddox’s story goes from here!

Loved it - Excellent Narrators!

Ahhhh . . . . I could listen to Zachary Webber’s voice for days - & his voice delivers a fine Mad Dog Maddox. Andi Arndt gave her usual great performance as Hannah.

This was a super cute, short, easy - but sexy- listen! Having loved listening to Love, Utley before, I thoroughly enjoyed this prequel.

Short & Sweet

Such a cute way to revisit Hannah and Maddox! This is exactly what I hoped for. Short, sweet, funny, and well-written. The audiobook was performed well! These narrators are two of my favorites.

Absolutely freaking perfect

Honestly I didn’t even realize this was a prologue (tho it said so quite plainly) but the story is so fluid and detailed, so realistic I was imagining all of this happening on my old college campus.. enjoying the dynamics of college kids .. and then to get to the end and discover there was a much deeper story to follow—SQUEEEEE
Btw I finished both this afternoon/evening and Loved Loved Loved Loved them so much.
These narrators are in my top 5, the funny parts are delivered so well and CHELSEA that voice was Jacob Morgan’s best voice to date. 💀
