About this listen

Tales from Ogden Canyon is the fourth book in the TALES series. The stories in this book are written by local authors (Ogden) and it is inspired by legends, and historical events, in the Ogden Canyon and Ogden Valley, in Utah. This is the fourth book in the series. A thrilling and informative trip through the Ogden Canyon, and Ogden Valley (Utah) via some of the sweetest, funniest, and scariest stories ever… A great read for history buffs as well as lovers of suspense and tales of terror. 13 Stories. The Hermitage is hands down the story with the best research. Learn all about the Dream Hotel! Three’s a Charm…Two accidents is no big deal. Just dust yourself off and keep going, unless they come in threes… The Unveiled Bride… After a long and trying journey, a beautiful bride finally makes it to her bridegroom. Into the Light is a sad story. But someone has to die in ghost stories, right? The author pulls you right into the near past, and how the events almost certainly happened.” Reverberations… A grandmother’s love knows no bounds, or does it? (According to another reviewer, Reverberations is, “Evil, evil, evil good.”) Lily… Will our wonderful Mr. Martin Johnson finally have the date he’s waited so long for? A touching story of true love spanning half a century. A Star-Crossed Love… A young girl is sidetracked from her well planned life, into a love she resents and ultimately cannot live, or die, without. The Ice… An interesting and chilling look at what’s below Pineview Reservoir, as seen by a man on a winter night’s mission to walk the ice. The Star… Buck, the resident ghost (and wall fixture) at The Shooting Star Saloon, in Huntsville, knows all that goes on… Dog lovers everywhere will love this story. Lily is the sweetest story—a timeless tale of love and loss. Scent from Heaven, is another beautiful and touching love story, straddling two centuries. Lovers are torn apart during the depression, only to find one another eighty years later. The journey is not without its bumps and hurdles, but love transcends all—time, life, death. The Ne’er Do Well…You should be on your best behavior all the time. Ladies, act like ladies. Gentlemen, act like gentlemen… always, but especially on Halloween, because, if you’re not, Grandma Fuller will take care of you. This story is slightly reminiscent of Tales of the Fae, forcing unwary visitors to dance until they drop, but with a nice western flair. The Ring in the Snow…A selfish and self-centered young woman learns a bit about what’s really important in life when she gives a hitchhiking snowboarder a lift up to Powder Mountain. Mountain Maggie… One of the most beloved (or behated but certainly the most famous) characters of the Ogden Valley, alive or dead, is Mountain Maggie. But one thing is sure – you don’t want to be in her yard at ten o’clock on Halloween! Fairy Tales Ghosts Haunted Paranormal Dogs Dream

This is my hometown!

I love Ogden. The author writes about the awesome landmarks in my hometown. I’m a very proud Ogdenite. The narrator pronounces Weber is hilarious, it is WEE-BER, not WEB-BER. All in all a great book about my home.
