Publisher's summary

The Earth is doomed. A sinister alien race, disguised as giant rotary phones, is planning to blow up the world and sell whatever is left as collectibles!

It’s up to our hero Lenny and his team of paranormal investigators - a ghost hunter, a psychic, a vampire, a werevole, and a pooka named Bob - to save the day. They must survive Yetis, vampire brides, a robot swami, and being shot into the depths of space. But they must succeed, or Earth will be no more!

After all, the firm Lenny and the others work for is Terrifitemps, the temporary employment agency that secretly controls the world. And with the aid of a legendary hero from the agency’s past, our heroes must turn back the alien threat and make our planet safe again.

But can they do it in time? Or will they be a team without a planet to call their own?

Funny awesome book

Craig Shaw Gardner remains one of the funniest authors currently around. The sequel to Temporary Monsters, this continues the adventures of Lenny and his oddball collection of allies. These books are full of puns, jokes, funny voices, and quirky situations. Thomas Machin is a delightful narrator with a variety of cartoony and serious voices. Everyone should try these if they want to enjoy a simple but relaxing read.

Sci fi nonsense

This one is just utterly absurd. Think Monty Python on the printed page and you'll have an idea. Nothing makes much sense, and things just happen out of nowhere. I'm this book, it works. You will never know exactly what will happen next, pulling this book into some kind of twisted, hilarious limbo. Thomas Machin is a truly accomplished narrator. His voices are so different from each other you'll swear this was done by a full cast. Enjoy at your own risk, because this brand of nonsense will become addicting.

Gardner at his usual best

This second installment of Temporary Magic by Craig Shaw Gardner is the usual fare of light, fun entertainment that Gardner is well known for. If you have ever encountered Craig Shaw Gardner before you,ll know what to expect.
While you will enjoy this story on its own, I really recommend that you read/listen to the first before you go to this one. You'll enjoy this one more that way.
Thomas Machin returns for this book as the narrator and beings an excellent continuity from the first book.
