About this listen

His darkest fears...her deepest desires. She-wolf Janna Macks knows trouble when she sees it, especially when it comes in the form of an irresistibly broody cowboy like Cole Harper. Her fledgling pack is already in the cross hairs of a ruthless group of rogues, and falling head over heels in lust with a human will only endanger her loved ones more. The problem is, her wolf knows her destined mate when she sees him - and Cole is it.

Rodeo pro Cole Harper has never felt this off-kilter before. One minute, he’s lusting after Janna, the spunky waitress he can’t get off his mind, and the next, he’s growling at a dark inner voice demanding all kinds of crazy things - like howling at the moon and claiming Janna as his own. There’s only one thing stronger than the overwhelming need for Janna, and that’s the fear that without her, he’ll succumb to the strange inner beast wrestling for control of his haunted soul.

Behind the doors of the Blue Moon Saloon, alpha shifters confront their darkest fears and their deepest desires.

A paranormal romance with adult content. The perfect listen for fans of strong heroines, alpha heroes, werewolves and shapeshifters, red-hot cowboys, romantic westerns, paranormal suspense, action-adventure romance, and fantasy romance! Each book is a complete stand-alone story - no cliffhangers!

Temptation in every way!

Would you consider the audio edition of Temptation: Reckless Desires to be better than the print version?

I didn't read the print version, but I enjoyed listening to the audio version. The story is just as good as the first book with shifter romance and paranormal action.

What did you like best about this story?

Cole and Janna are HOT together! I liked Cole's evolution from rodeo guy to 'Janna's guy'. Everything else just brought the other book together with this one.

Did Kelsey Osborne do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Still not thrilled with the narration.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Howl at the MOON....

WOW just keeps getting better!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />

Jenna is a hard working wolf and Cole is a broken human rodio bull fighter. The attraction is so strong, you can feel it. The problems they have would be hard enough but the reenter the purebloods. This story keeps you on the edge of your seat, The narrator does an excellent job. looking forward to Redemption on audio.

Great Story

Loved this audio! The stories are excellent and the characters are relatable and you really want to know what happens next. Steamy in some parts, sweet in others. Plenty of action and a good dose of sass and humor. If you love shifter romances don't miss this one!

I'm loving this series!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes! Love shifters and romance, and the writing is great!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Cole. He is strong, but also sensitive. He has a big heart!

What about Kelsey Osborne’s performance did you like?

Her tone is wonderful and she sets the emotion of the scene wonderfully with her voice.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just say Cole really puts himself out there for Janna and others, even when it may be a danger to himself.

Any additional comments?

Full Review - I'm really loving this series! In this book, we get Janna's story, who is Jessica's sister from the first book, and we get to see how Janna and Cole's story unfolds. You should read the first book in this series, or there will be some spoilers in this book for that book, and Janna and Cole are introduced in the first book, but I suppose it isn't completely necessary, but I think it adds to the enjoyment of this book; plus that book is awesome too! Janna and her sister have found a new home at the Blue Moon Saloon with the 2 were-bears, Simon and Soren, and Janna is feeling a strong attraction towards a regular at the Saloon. Cole is a sexy cowboy with something in his past that is eating away at him, and on top of that, he is starting to feel and hear strange things, and his feelings for Janna have turned animalistic. Janna's wolf is also feeling animalistic towards Cole, but she doesn't understand it because Cole is human, and on top of her wolf acting weird, there is the threat of the Rogues. The Rogues don't believe in mixing shifters, and they definitely don't want shifters and humans mixing. First off, I enjoyed the chemistry between Cole and Janna, and I found Cole to be adorable. I like Janna too, but I definitely think she should have made it more of a priority to talk with Cole; that made me think of her as a bit more ditzy then I had thought previously, so I was a bit disappointed in that, but for the most part, I liked her. The story is interesting, and I liked the flow of the story. I'm excited to read the next book in the series, even if I don't really like the premise; I wanted more for Soren, so I'm disappointed with what I know so far, but since I loved the first 2 books and enjoy Anna Lowe's writing, I'm giving it a chance. Plus, I'm very interested in Soren! Looking forward to more of him, and more of the main couples from books 1 and 2!

Fun and quirky

Any additional comments?

As my first audiobook, I had no idea what to expect. I will be honest in saying, I thought that the voices of the guys would be narrated by a guy. At first it was very strange to listen to a female 'trying' to sound like a guy. Once I was past that, the rest was smooth sailing. The story was enjoyable and the characters were fun to get to know. Each kind of quirky in their own way. It's great for fans of shifter romances!

Love is blossoming but when it is with a human...Janna Macks is a wolf shifter who finds herself falling for sexy cowboy Cole Harper. But what happens when the unexpected occurs, Jenna wolf is crying out that Cole is her mate.

Amazing!

Absolutely loved it! Just enough twists and turns to keep you reading but plenty of sweet and comical moments to keep it light hearted. Perfect person to do the reading, spot on for just the right amount of emotion and keeping each character uniquely their own. Can't wait to listen to another one!

Can a sexy she-wolf be his salvation?

I am voluntarily providing my honest review after receiving an ARC copy of the audiobook release generously provided by the author.

This novel is a perfect mix of sweet and hot romance. After meeting these characters in previous Blue Moon Saloon installments, I couldn't help but cheer for Janna to find love and contentment. (But while having read the previous stories enhanced my experience of this novel, I think it could still be enjoyed as a stand-alone book.) Without giving away any spoilers, rest assured that outside forces conspire once again to provide tension and action for the plot. This novel also features a sense of the forbidden that adds a delicious sexual energy to the main characters' romance. As always with Anna Lowe's books, plan to set aside some time, because once you get going, you'll get hooked and you won't want to stop! Listening to this book on audiobook format evoked a whole different experience of this novel for me. The slow pacing and sultry timbre of the narrator's voice makes the steamy scenes burn even brighter, and her varied inflections perfectly evoke different auras for the different types of shifters in the novel (bears v. wolves). While I highly recommend the audiobook performance of the novel, fans of shifter romance will enjoy Temptation.

A Great Second Act

Would you consider the audio edition of Temptation: Reckless Desires to be better than the print version?

I have not read the book. There are certain series, or books, that I prefer to listen to because I get a better picture in my mind about both the setting and the characters. Plus the added bonus is that I can be working on something else and have no trouble concentrating on what the narrator is telling me.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked how Cole grew to accept what he had to become. He didn't understand what was going on but he trusted Janna enough to help him understand. Also liked the fact that the author can make me laugh at certain points in the story. It's hard to make me laugh but this author has no trouble.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

It has to be where Cole is confused by what he's hearing and not quite sure if he's going mad. He handled it a lot better than I probably would have.

Any additional comments?

I actually enjoyed this just a hair more than the first one. I think the narrator found her stride here. It was much more enjoyable to listen to. Ms. Osborne made me feel more apart of what was going on - as if I was there watching things unfold. I got to enjoy who these people were and get concerned about what they had to endure. I'm looking forward to listening to more of this series and learning more about the Blue Moon Saloon. If you've never read a Paranormal/Fantasy before, why not try listening to one. It just may help you change your mind.

Love the convenience of audible books.

An enjoyable experience.
This is only my second audible book but will not be my last. I enjoyed the flexibility of being able to listen whilst doing other things.
The narration is good but I struggle having one voice doing many characters.

Good continuation of this series.
I have fallen in love with this series and was so looking forward to this book. Do yourself a favour and read the other books first, you will get a better feeling for this story.
I loved the background we are given on Cole, oh my, what a man. Loved him but felt for him with his guilt over the young rodeo cowboy who died. He is a wonderful person and did well with what happened to him.
I was really enjoying Janna and Coles story until Janna became some stupid idiot who did not tell Cole what was happening to him. I so wanted to slap her upside the head.
Poor poor Cole, he thinks he is going mad, hearing a voice and feeling things he did not know if they were real or imagined. Janna would have saved him lots of grief if she had explained what was happening to him. He also would have known how to fight the Purity idiots when they had Janna.
There are 2 other people this has happened too but does she ask for advice, NO, she just waffles along risking Coles life. Janna knows how close to the change he must be but she agrees to meet Cole to go dancing, at a rough, rowdy bar. Of course, Janna gets taken by the PURITY blue bloods who have been sending threatening letters which she has told no one about.
Really, a smart savvy woman suddenly does stupid things. Just because she is a wolf she is not invincible. I get annoyed when this happens. TSTL.
All in all this was a good gripping story but would have been better if Janna had stayed the same smart woman we met in book 1.
I loved the ending with the reveal of Sarah, Soren’s lost mate. Wow, that looks like it is going to be a doozy.
This is my honest review of this book.
