One of the best of the series

I have read all the books in this series so when I was given the opportunity for a free copy of the audio version from Gay Romance Reviews, I wanted to hear what I was missing. I really enjoy this series. So many diverse personalities. These two Tex and Jazz I really enjoyed because they had such history together before Tex deals with his relationship with Jazz. This is also the story that deals with Crave and I was glad to see that finally happen. I think the extra emotion in this story also comes from the fact Jazz is just getting out of prison. How he deals with the club and issues adds to the story. I think this is one of the best of the series. I think it is best if this series is read in order because the characters and the story carries forward.

Absolutely Amazing!

David Alan Varga is so entertaining with his reading. He puts so much expression in every character making you want to never stop listening to his voice. I hope he is able to narrate more of Aiden Bates’ books. With such an amazing story along with vividly read narrator… you will want to continue to listen.

Great addition to the story line!

I loved Jazz and Tex. Jazz had just returned from prison and was trying to keep on the straight and narrow. Tex was there to great him, they'd been friends since childhood. This was a great best friends to lovers story line. The narration seemed a little off to me personally, it was still well done.

Great Story With Harsh Narration

So this narration was a bit of a chore for me, he sounded like he was trying a little too hard to sound rough, and some of it came off as elderly which didn’t fit with the characters. I know 70 year old men who don’t sound this strained and run down. I wish Tex had had at the very least Jazz’s voice and he’d went them lighter for Jazz. The dialogue at one point says it only took him 28 years to get something so I was like, is that supposed to be their age? They sounded like great grandpas, the laughing was the worst. Sounded like a alcoholic Santa Claus, and then the mix of that twang too made me unable to take it seriously at points. And Logan, Raven and Rebel were all wrong as well. And I get Crave was a madman but the voice for him was cartoon villainous. It made it really difficult to get into the story where as even the first story with the random whistling and random pauses was easier to listen too. The story is very well written and that comes through despite the mismatched voice acting which is a testament to the writers, and though this particular story isn’t my favorite I love the rest of the series. I’m not sure if I’ll continue though as it looks like this particular narrator does the rest of the series which is a bit of a disappointment for me. Narration I give a 2 because there was an effort even if I didn’t particularly enjoy it. The Story I give a 4, maybe it should be a 5 if I could have really got into it but again the narration always kept me somewhat removed.

My First M/M Romance

I LOVED THIS! So this came as a real surprise to me. I had no idea that M/M romance novels existed, much less are considered a genre of their own. I guess I'm a little out-of-touch with contemporary literary trends. A friend recommended this series, and, I'll be honest, after seeing the cover art I agreed to read them right away. I was expecting fluff, but found the stories to be extremely well-written and highly engaging. I was immediately immersed in the world of Hell's Ankhor and its myriad of fascinating characters. I particularly like the absence of homophobia in these books and the complete acceptance of the lifestyle without judgment or condemnation. That's a refreshing change. I can't wait for the rest of the series. The narrator's acting was first rate. I loved how he brought each character to life with their own voice and personality. I'm anxious to hear more from him. Looking forward to Dante now.

Friends to lovers

I received this in exchange for a review so I haven't listened to the other books but I wasn't to list listening. Tex and Jazz have been friends since they were kids. Jazz has been in love Tex for a long time but thought nothing could ever come of it. After spending time together after Jazz is released from prison things seem to change. This was my first mm motorcycle club book. There are some great secondary characters. I liked how their relationship evolved. The narration was ok for me.

My favorite in the series! I absolutely loved this book and when it came out on audio I knew I would love it but man David took it a whole new level higher. This book is at the top of my must relisten to over and over again.

Audio talent changed :(

Noooo seems the audio talent changed to a gruffer guy and he sounds like someone’s hillbilly potbelly dad in a beat up recliner. He keeps chuckling and I hate it.
Well crap. This series used to be sexy.

Great story! Love Tex and Jazz’s story ❤️🔥❤️

In this book we see more of Tex and Jazz, as they are the main characters. We do still see a lot of the club in this book.

Jazz has been in jail, paying for his sins. Even though he did the right thing, he’s nervous about being around the club again. He has changed since going in. He’s surprised to find Tex waiting on him when he’s released.

Jazz and Tex have a long history of being friends. They’ve missed each other tremendously, while separated. This is the longest they’ve ever been separated. Jazz is gay, and has always been secretly in love with Tex, who is straight. Jazz’s time away has affected Tex, though. He’s beginning to question his feelings for Jazz. Could it be more than what he’s always claimed?

This was a good addition to the series, and it laid the groundwork for the next book.

This is the first time I’ve heard anything narrated by DAV, and I enjoyed the emotion he put into his narration. He really brought each character to life. I also found his voice to fit the rough and tough bikers he was portraying.
