About this listen
The $20 Note follows an ordinary bank note on an extraordinary journey through the streets of New York and beyond, from the borough of Queens to the heavens above.
We follow the note as it travels from one person to the next, unbeknownst to them, as they go about their daily lives, those of which vary wildly between normality and causality.
So please fasten your seat belts and follow me on a trip into the unknown as we set off on one hell of an adventure! You never know where it may lead!

Story
A murderer is on the loose on the streets of New York City: nicknamed the Doomsday Killer, he's claimed six victims in just two weeks, and the city is terrified. Even worse, the police are mystified: the victims have nothing in common, defying all profiling, and all that connects them is that each received a sick postcard in the mail before they died - a postcard that announced their date of death. In desperation, the FBI assigns the case to maverick agent Will Piper, once the most accomplished serial-killing expert in the bureau's history, now on a dissolute spiral to retirement.

Story
One May evening in London, Adam Kindred, a young climatologist in town for a job interview, is feeling good about the future as he sits down for a meal at a little Italian bistro. He strikes up a conversation with a solitary diner at the next table, who leaves soon afterward. With horrifying speed, this chance encounter leads to a series of malign accidents, through which Adam loses everything—home, family, friends, job, reputation, passport, credit cards, cell phone—never to get them back.

Story
Jimmy Webb's words have been sung to his music by a rich and deep roster of pop artists, including Glen Campbell, Art Garfunkel, Frank Sinatra, Donna Summer, and Linda Ronstadt. He's the only artist ever to win Grammy Awards for music, lyrics, and orchestration, and his chart-topping career has, so far, lasted 50 years, most recently with a Kanye West rap hit and a new classical nocturne. Now Webb delivers a snapshot of his life from 1955 to 1970, from the proverbial humble beginnings into a moneyed and manic international world of beautiful women, drugs, cars, and planes.

Story
Madison is booming with dreamers and drifters, visionaries and entrepreneurs. Among them is Sydney Richardson, the daughter of a cop who died on these streets and now the proud, stressed-out owner of Hush Money, one of the city's top new restaurants. Like everyone else in town, Sydney is shocked when Madison's popular mayor - a crusty, charismatic man of the people - is shot to death in his own home. But the news hits especially close to home for Sydney because one of her own stands accused of the brutal crime. Sydney's the one person that Wanda Fields, a quiet, hardworking waitress and single mother, can think to call after her arrest.

Story
Night after night Mike and Sam found their beds under bridges and on the streets. They were forced to depend on the generosity and kindness of strangers as they panhandled to sustain their existence. For more than five months, the pair experienced firsthand the extreme pains of hunger, the constant uncertainty and danger of living on the streets, exhaustion, depression, and social rejection-and all of this by their own choice.

An interesting story that follows a $20 bill
An interesting story that follows a $20 bill around New York City. A short, but fun story.
The narration was fine. I would listen to this narrator again.

Quick interesting listen
Another interesting story following the adventures of a bank note. I will be honest that I enjoyed the £20 note story more. Characters are diverse and interesting and from all walks of life. Narrator does a stellar job in bringing the story to life. Only critique is that it was all over far too quickly. Would really enjoying following more of the adventures of these bank notes!

A new way of thinking
Amazing way of showing what a 20 dollar bill would go through in its life. The characters are fun the whole time and the ending was insane in a good way. Was not ready and I laughed when it came to the ending. Totally worth the time!!! Would listen to it again.

Check these out!
I actually listened to all four of these related books in order. Each would be fine as a standalone, but for me it did seem to add an extra level to experience them all together.
Such a fascinating idea, and such a fun listen. Don’t want to say too much that I spoil anything for anyone, so I’ll just say these are well worth it!
