Publisher's summary

It's time to take control of your stories.

Stories have a unique power to immerse, delight, and educate. So why do some stories work and others fail? The 24 Laws of Storytelling distills the lessons learned from stories past and present into a practical audiobook that you can use for any story you decide to write.

This audiobook will teach you the principles you need to immerse your audience, deliver immensely satisfying drama, and educate better than any textbook or lecture can. There's no need for any special tools, expensive writing software, or Hollywood contacts. You only need to learn from the successes and blunders of past stories.

By extracting the timeless writing principles from master storytellers such as Christopher Nolan, Stephen King, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, George Lucas, Alfred Hitchcock, and many more, this unique work will provide a fascinating insight into the laws of storytelling and how to use them to create your own masterpieces.

Bilbo Biggins?? Did AI write this?

If you enjoy the narrator mispronouncing the hobbits name 100 times you’ll enjoy this book. As far as content goes The book would have been better if the author had followed his own advice and adhered to law number 15 “be concise”. He repeats examples and restates the obvious. The way that he imitates Robert Greene’s very particular way of structuring the laws, “observance of the law” and “ reversal” feels like something a plagiaristic AI bot would do. Please don’t use an example from the Batman movie again…

While there are lessons in this book and I wanted to like it I feel like there is probably a better way to get all this info.
