More in depth information, Lola is finely coming out of her shell and learning more about what kind of responsibilities it holds. There’s a twist at the end but I won’t spoil that. Can’t wait to read the next installment. Narrator did a great job just like the first book.

So awesome! This series is just wonderful. The characters are well developed and suck you into this wonderful world(s) of time jumping and world jumping. It is amazing the originality of the storyline and how the author portrayed the characters. We delve a little deeper into the lives of the Evers and learn more about the family in book 2. I love the format (though some may hate it) of the back and forth views of the characters. The narrator does such a wonderful job on this book in both getting you to appreciate the world the characters are in and the characters themselves. This is a book and series that I would highly recommend.

Sexual content: PG13 - kissing, some raging hormones, but it stays clean, some LGBT background relationships

Lola is being sent off to a two-week magic summer school… a bit reminiscent of Hogwarts but has it’s own flair. There really isn’t a conflict in this book, just learning a lot about her new magical world and romantic options. It does end abruptly with Lola having an information like bomb dropped on her – not really a cliff hanger but a definite pull to read the next book.

The narrator fit the main character well and did a good job with the differentiations. I did prefer listening at 1.25x speed.

The Academy: Book Two in the Evers Series, is my second read from author Marie-Hélène Lebeault. I can't give any if you like this author you'll love this book comparisons but, you'll love this book. Valerie Rose Lohman's narration makes a very good book even better. I can't imagine reading the book without her southern accent. An entertaining, must-read! I look forward to reading more from this author, in fact I've already been shopping for The Time Walker: Book Three in the Evers Series. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

I wasn't expecting the mild cliffhanger at the end and I thought a couple of times that the main character did something unlike her ,acted out of character if you will. Still I am pleased with the results because it left me with the need to know that happens next.

This is the second book in The Evers Series. This fantasy adventure has an original storyline, clean, and entertaining. The story continues where the first book left off. The world building is interesting, and engaging. Excellent narration from Valerie Rose Lohman. Looking forward to listening to The Time Walker, the next book in the series. #StoryOrigin

I was so impressed by the first book in the series "The Ancestors Key" that I was keen to continue the series. This was my review of that book:
FANTASTIC START TO A PROMISING SERIES.
Well written, well narrated, with relatable characters and a beautiful adventurous storyline. There were even a few tears and emotions of wonder, joy, amazement and happiness. l am keen to continue the series and can recommend this wonderful clean story.
THIS book 2: " The Academy" was just as good with new exciting adventures and discoveries that were so so unexpected. The new school/magic camp was a blast with Lola being surprised/shocked and meeting the all human students that had the keys passed down from their distant ancestors also. Again it was beautifully narrated by Valerie Rose Lohman.
RECOMMENDED CLEAN MAGICAL ADVENTURE.
