About this listen

Alex

My job was supposed to be easy: Meet the dominant Alien race of Mukhana, negotiate an alliance, and leave. Being literally carried away into the night changes everything. Kidnapping a human is asking for trouble. Every alien in the galaxy should know that by now, but the nassa are more barbaric than expected.

Despite some small similarities with humans, their culture is hard to comprehend. They're kind yet controlling, warm yet stern. Even though he literally kidnapped me and will fight to keep me, Saar seems to respect me and maybe even care for me. Most confusing of all, everyone keeps calling me an omega....

Saar

Humans are confusing creatures. They send their most delicate and vulnerable through the universe unattended.
The moment I saw Alex, I knew he was an omega. Even though I was furious that he was being paraded around, unmated and unprotected, I was also thrilled because I knew at once: He was mine.

I will save my omega from his difficult life. I will keep him safe and protected, even if it means war....

The Alien's Kidnapped Omega is a lighthearted sci-fi m/m romance featuring a unique alien race, a sweet and confused human, a very well-meaning and equally misguided alien, and a forced marriage.

Fantastic

I adore this audiobook. It’s definitely one I will relisten to. The plot is pretty basic, but great. Aliens think Alex, a visiting human, is an omega (a breeder) and mate him off to one of theirs. But the sex scenes are straight fire and the heartbreak and angst at the end makes me tear up so much. But, have no fear, that just makes the inevitable HEA that much more satisfying. The narrator is fantastic, as he always is. I can’t possibly think of anything negative to say about him.

OK

I believe this is a first for me by this author.
Overall it was an OK tale. I do understand it is hard to come up with new story ideas and the whole Omega/Alpha even first contant have been done before, this was a cute spin on that genre.
But I felt this one lacked depth. Depth from the characters, depth from the details given about the new world, everything. The details of description of the new world made me feel like we were in Arizona. The Adobe style homes, brutal sun, heat, sand. While the characters are likeable, same thing applies, no depth, no real details beyond the basic skin(scale) color hair etc. I did not find myself warming up to anyone.

The whole basis of the story, is this first contact team and the huge misunderstanding that happens because no one from either side of the well trained Contact team speaks up!

Honestly, for me Kirk Graves is the whole reason this story was not a DFN. His voices carried this tale from start to finish.

Surprisingly captivating

After reading a lot of contemporary m/m, I was in the mood for something different. I started listening and…was just sucked completely in. Great sci-fi + pulp fiction + gay + romance. It’s like four genres in one! A great escapist tale - and Kirt Graves was awesome.

Worth a listen (Allen mpreg romance)

This cute book is worth the listen. It will make you fastrated in all the good ways. The slow but quick romance pulls you in and makes you feel for them and their overall moments together. Kirt Graves' voice is perfect his voices really help you fully see the leads in your head, and he is great with the rise and fall of the emotions they give off.
If you are looking for your first allen omegaverse mpeg book, that isn't too much (sex from start to finish). This is a great starter. Enjoy and pray for book 2. Wink wink, Sienna Sway, please book 2 and more.

good concept, a bit short and underdeveloped thoug

The story is similar to Lyn Gala's Claiming series, but shorter and less developed. it's not bD, but Lyn Gala did this better with an exploration of culture and linguistics. Also technologically, this feels mismatched with an alien civilization

So Frustrating to Listen to

There were several things about this book that were quite frustrating. The first one is the narrator's mispronunciation of the word alpha. He kept saying "elf-ah". I can't really imagine anyone in our present-day society that does not know the word alpha, so that he kept mispronouncing it, was just baffling. Every time he said "elfa", it just made me grit my teeth. Like, the narrator had a wonderful voice and did a great job otherwise, but why he couldn't pronounce Alpha is beyond mystifying. Second, the amount of non-consexual everything in this book is terrified. And not in an intentional sexy kink kind of way. Most of it steemed from the MC not communicating in anyway beyond a 5 year old. Like, the story would have me believe that he's supposed to be this well trained first contact specialist, but then can't even do the most basic a$$ communication to explain literally anything. Granted, any time he does the most simplest attempt at any words, the alien species infantilizes him, answers nothing, jumps to all their own conclusions and basically gives him away as a prize bride to the winner of a contest. But this dumbass human just goes along with it because he simply doesn't communicate or try to gain or give any kind of understanding. At every turn, I kept thinking, "for the love of- just talk to these people! Ask, "what is an Omega? Why do you keep calling me that? What does that mean?" Explain human culture. Explain that they have kidnapped you and why that is not OK. Explain autonomy, and that you are not OK with them deciding for you who will be your mate. Explain sexual assault and what rape is. Advocate for yourself. Literally say or do anything to explain literally anything!!!" The author should have just made them have a language barrier since it would have resulted in the same thing and at least made sense. Ugh! It was so painful to listen to. And then it all devolves into, oh after being forced into a marriage, turns out the human is horny, so sure, sexy times. The consensual sex was about the ONLY non-non-con in this book. And THEN -somehow- with the power of A KISS (I'm not even joking) this normal human develops a uterus and has a fetus with a heartbeat - all in like 2 days?!? Yeah, no, that's not how, I mean, at least have made it a few weeks. Give some level of plausibility. Organs don't grow that quick and a fetus does not develop that quick either. Biology doesn't work like that, even if it's pseudoscience. Damn this book was frustrating to listen to. And I haven't even harped on how dismissive and infuriating the alien MC was towards the human MC, but blah, this review is already too long. Anyways, this was a waste of a credit for me.

Oh mai lord!!!

Until this book, I had never heard of Sienna Sway. And looking at the cover, I have to admit I was not expecting much. Holy alien balls of glory, this book was so, SO, SO much more than that! Excellent plot, excellent characters, excellent length, excellent steamy moments and the absolute best choice for narrator. We’ve got a space-faring human who lands on an alien planet looking for allies for earth. Unbeknownst to our human (and the human race as a whole), he turns out to be an omega and gets himself kidnapped by an alien alpha trying to save him from a life of labor. It really is a series of unfortunate miscommunications, with a maybe-dash of dubious consent (not a complaint), an overbearing alien society that worships the ground omegas walk on, knotting, and mpreg (although no children were actively born during the book). It’s been awhile since I’ve gushed about a book this much. It’s not super angsty but will totally leave you wanting more. And more is coming in December 2022! I might die of anticipation before then while crossing my fingers that the sequel features Eisa. Great book, even better audiobook, and totally worth a credit in my eyes.
