Publisher's summary

Welcome to Luxiria, where the twin suns are hot and the alien warriors are hotter....

After a dark relationship in her past, Crystal Lee avoids men like the plague, especially dominant, physically strong, overbearing ones — everything that reminds her of her ex. So, it’s just her luck that she’s stuck on a planet surrounded by them. Only they’re not men. They’re massive, battle-worn alien warriors. And when one steals her from the safety of her new home, into the wild lands of Luxiria, she never expects him to come to her rescue.

Ambassador Cruxan likes two things: a plethora of females warming his furs and a good, satisfying fight at the training pits. As the leader of the roughest outpost on Luxiria, he’s known for fixing messy situations, for getting the hard jobs done. So, when the Prime Leader tasks him with tracking and retrieving a human female, he does it, no questions asked. There’s only one problem: that human female turns out to be his fated mate, a fated mate he never thought he wanted.

When they’re both stranded together in the wild lands, days away from civilization, Crystal quickly realizes that she needs to keep her distance from the devastatingly passionate and handsome male. But Cruxan awakens desires she has long thought dead...and soon, she fears that he has the power to break her heart if she’s not careful with it.

The dark side of human nature

The stench of the darkness of human nature resonate all the way to Luxiria. Crystal's 3 years of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse almost prevented her from experiencing true love and affection. Her crippling fear of being close to another was the premise of this story. The pain of her past also inflicted pain on Cruxan, her fated mate. This story is so true for so many people who experienced abuse and their struggles to be happy again. I am happy love, affection, respect, and patience overcome the darkness of her past.

Still loving Storylines

The narrators have done a great job bringing the series characters to life; there are similarities and differences in each storyline, this book included. Each book deals with issues encountered today and it’s interesting to see how it is resolved. On to the next book!

Not as good but touchy ending

This book was not as good as the other books. I think that the female character got on my nerve at times. I did like the male character he was very passionate and patient. Overall ok story.

Outstanding

I love all of this series. Zoey does a great job of world bu🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍. She doesn't get lost in too many details. The characters are people you can connect with, not to mention the sexy times🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶, Zoey doesn'tgo over board with the spicy, Then there's the narrators they do a awesome job. I love it when there's a dual narrator. I have reread this whole series 2 or 3 times now.

Love this series but not my favorite

I couldn't help but roll my eyes throughout this book. The heroine constantly annoyed me with her rudeness and constantly thinking her mate was lying and because of her baggage she basically put all males in the same box without giving anyone a chance. I was honestly relieved once it ended. Now I need the 8th Book the Aliens Claim to come to Audible, I could technically read it but its just not to the same as listening.

Loved it but...

the lead female character is kind of annoying with all her indecision and hanging on to old baggage...

Alien Jungle adventure!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: 😠😚😁☺️
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Duet Narration

The heroine: Crystal - she still has PTSD from her last relationship which ended five years ago, so after she was abducted by aliens who were going to give them away as prizes in a gladiator ring, then being rescued by the Luxirians, she wants to stay as far away from the males as she can and just wait until they can return her home. Crystal likes to draw and sketch which helps her with her anxiety, especially after nightmares about her ex-boyfriend.

The Hero: Cruxan - One of the ambassador’s of Luxiria, he is one of the Prime Leaders trusted men who overlooks the roughest outpost on the outer reaches of Luxirian territory. He is a bit of a playboy with the ladies and loves a good fight. He is the one the Prime Leader Vaxa’an trusts to resolve situations like finding the huge Luxirian crystal after it was stolen (it was the only fuel source capable of traveling to Earth to return the females home.

The Story: When Crystal and Erin are stolen from the apartment where they were kept since being rescued, Vaxa’an tasks Cruxan with retrieving the women. Since Cruxan’s sire betrayed their race, Cruxan has been trying to make amends for his fathers actions and has since become the fixer and one of Vaxa’an’s most trusted ambassador’s. So he goes after the women and finds Crystal whom he immediately discovers is his fated mate.

I read the last book in the series before this one, so I already knew the story of Jaxor’an and Erin, and knew that Cruxan had found Crystal soon after Jaxor had taken the two women, but I was waiting for this book to find out more of the story. I liked the fact that they ended up having to hike back after Jaxor stole Cruxan’s hovercraft. I wasn’t too fond of the past abuse storyline, but overall this was a good book and I liked the journey.

This book was told in dual points of view via duet narration, and was narrated by Sierra Grace and Tristan Josiah. I like both of these narrators and the fact that it is done in duet narration, where the male does all the male voices and the female does all the female no matter whose POV the chapter is told from, makes it all the better.

Pretty Standard Storyline

Follows all the tropes of the alien romance sub genre but at least the male lead isn't a douche and doesn't force sex/douche male chauvinist stuff you sometimes get. Well written just very stereotypical.

Cringe

I've never heard a entire 6 hours of whining and crying and selfishness as the heroine in this book! I'm on the last hour and she still is crying and thinking only about herself ugh!! If i was the male I'd rather go ahead and die then have her as a mate as she dis nothing but torture the poor guy because she had a crap boy friend before that was a ass to her, he had did nothing but try to please her since laying eye's on her, she even whines while being pleasured by him even though she does nothing other then kiss him to give him pleasure back and she still isn't happy and she is forever telling him she has to leave him to get back to her sister who is pregnant and has a life of her own with a husband like the rest of her life is going to be watching her sister and her sisters family ? this has to be the most depressing pts chick in the whole 8 books ! i actually skipped it and read 8 before 7 just from the description but dummy me. went back and wasted a credit on it. maybe it's a good read for those into crying and whining the entire book .

my least favorite book in this series

This story is about how the h has tons of emotional baggage. All she did was cry, whine, and constantly apologize for all her crying and whining. There was so much that even the sexy moments were ruined. I wasn't sure I could get to the end and was glad when I did because I couldn't take anymore.
