Publisher's summary

My parents forgot something when they ran.... Me.

After scamming most of our town out of their life savings, my folks disappeared in the middle of the night. Forced to take me in, my estranged aunt and uncle shipped me off to Raven River Academy the first chance they got.

In my town, the line between the haves and the have-nots is actually a 12-foot gate that keep the unwanted where they belong. Nothing could unite the two factions until I set foot on campus.

For the first time in our history, they all agree on one thing: I must pay for my father’s sins.

But why should I care?

The joke is on them because I have nothing left inside. No part of me that isn’t already broken. I invite them to do their worst.

Until the Angels enter the game.

The most dangerous gang in town has a score to settle with my family, and Cassius, Clay, Hiro, and Royal are here to collect.

Raven River soon becomes a battleground of lies, deceit, and violence, and I stand at the heart of it. The gorgeous otherworldly Angels will remind me that there is one thing left that I care about...and they’ll destroy it in heavenly fire.

The Angels is a contemporary, why-choose, high school bully romance. This is book one in the series and features language, dark themes, and sexual scenes. If you're cool with that, dive in!

Whyyyyyyyyy. Ok you got me. I am all for the romance, but the suspense and mystery!!!! OMG WHY a cliffhanger. You want to give me a heartache. Next book please. This one a great book not only does it build on the couples but the mystery, the why, the where, the hows and when’s.

Fabulous

I am in love. Great book, wonderful narrator. A first for me of both the author and narrator. It definitely won’t be my last.

So good!

I love this series! I love Ruby Vincent! The Angels is a fantastic introduction into the world of Raven River. We meet Ember and her brother at a particularly difficult time in their lives. As they move in with their uncle and start a new school, they also have to deal with the sins of their parents.

Ember is a strong, smart, and sassy heroine. Fiercely loyal and protective. She subjects herself to the angry taunts of her peers to ensure the safety of her brother. And then she meets the Angels - Royal, Hiro, Cassius and Clay.

This story was filled with intrigue, witty banter, and seductive steam. Well written with great characters and a strong story. And the narration is top notch! Loved the narrator’s voice and acting.

Highly recommend!

Amazing

Such a good twist on a classic trope. I do wish we had a few POVs from the guys perspective but the author did a good job showing their emotions even without them. Can’t wait for the next one

Wow!!! This was amazing!!

Holly crap this was amazing!!!! Em is completely selfless and she would do anything to protect her brother. She has balls and sticks up for herself especially against her bullies who I must say I detest!! Then we have the horsemen I seriously wanted to throat punch all of them!!! I couldn’t believe what they were me doing to her but then you get to that cliffy at the end and I swear things started to make more sense but there is still so many unanswered questions and I feel like we have barely scratched the surface. I am so looking forward to book 2

So far it's just ok!

Ok so this story line is very interesting it definitely pulls you in. The narrator is good as well. I would say you can definitely tell the writer is new in romance books. She skips over a lot of the sex scenes and just eludes to them. If your gonna write a series about a reverse harem situation there should be a reverse harem happening. This is a kids book compared to some I have listened to. Not enough sex, lies, or trouble in my opinion. That being said I now have to know what happens so I will be listening to the rest. Praying it gets juicier!
