NOT Books 1-6

The most frustrating part of this book is it says it is Book 1-6, but it is not- which means you have to stop and add
Book #4 Anne of Windy Poplars (between Anne of the Island and Anne's House of Dreams) and Book #6 Anne of Ingalside (between Anne's House of Dreams and Rainbow Valley)

it is difficult to navigate as it is divided by parts vs the books and it is all “Anne of Green Gables” when you go to the beginning of the book. The book description should outline where everything is.

otherwise of course the stories are wonderful

Narrator Makes Listening Difficulg

The narrator is perfectly fine when she is reading the story, but when it comes to impersonating a character, she is TOO MUCH.

Anne is an absolute nuisance. If she’s not crying, shes made to sound snooty.

You know how some people on social media like to write posts With Every Word In The Sentence Having The First Letter Capitalized? Well that’s how every single character talks. It’s almost like there is a period after every single word.

Gilbert is portrayed as a babbling idiot and - there is so much to unwrap here I could write a book myself.

It’s hard to enjoy when everyone sounds snobby and idiotic, but I like the book so I deal with it.

I wish the narrator would continue her normal speaking style for several of the characters than this over exaggerated mess.

Anne’s voice is aggravating

The reader is extremely expressive but her voices for Anne, Diana, and the younger girls sound ridiculous.

NOT all the books! Narrators could be better

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Anne stories. As Anne progresses through her life, there is sweetness and sadness in her story. The stories are delightful and amazing, the characters become like friends, and the description of the scenery is wonderful. The narrators are barely tolerable, and do not do the stories justice at all. The first narrator (Tara Reid) was okay, but some of her voices were really annoying and redundant. The second narrator (Susie Berneis) doesn't have enough differences between to indicate the various characters.

I recommend finding another compilation. Speaking of compilation, this does not include all the books! Anne of Windy Poplars was not included. Very disappointing!

Not what I expected

After listening to Rachel McAdams read Anne of Green Gables I was expecting this book to be more of the whispy sing song life of Anne.
It was not.
It was several narrators, some good, some irritating and the stories were very little of Anne.

I struggled to finish this book.
I won't return it because there were SOME great stories. There were also some dreadful ones.

Enjoyed all Six books in one.

I enjoyed the books and the extra at the end of it too. Is there more than what I already listen to.

Good stories with no sex and no violence and ho curse words.

The down home story line. The girls and women of that time were such good normal people.

Great story, good narrator, audiobook format is c

I love this story so much. And the furst narrator is engaging! The second narrator has a sweet voice but I much prefer the first. my big problem with the audiobook is that none of the chapters are labeled, book is broken into six parts for download purposes but not labeled. It's very difficult to tell which book I'm on, and Which chapter I'm in in that book. Twice, in the audiobook, the story shifts of abruptly and I I've tried to see if the book was changing or what caused the change. I've tried to rewind and relisten to make sure I didn't miss something. it would have been much easier had there been any indication of where in the story I was

Missing two of the "Anne" books

This set is missing "Anne of Windy Poplars" and "Anne of Ingleside". The narrator of the first few books is TERRIBLE, painful to listen to. I would rather have bought the books separately with a decent narrator.
