Pleasant Listen for This Classic

This is a new audiobook version of the Sun Tzu classic. I believe any review of a public domain work should only consider what the publisher has added to the new edition. From what I understand, publishers are required to add original content to republish the work and be able to sell it. In this case, the publisher has added a cover, a brief introduction, and of course, the narration. The cover is basic, but the title of the work stands out. This publisher has put out a few audiobooks of public domain works, and they all have a similar look. I assume she's attempting to create a brand look. The introductory material is brief. I always wish it was longer for public domain works since it's the only thing the publisher has to write. I enjoyed the narration. The British author has a smooth and pleasant-to-listen-to voice. The book's cover states this is a new translation, but I don't recall the publisher discussing this in the introductory material. I would have loved to have known more about this aspect of this new edition. If you're looking for an audiobook version of The Art of War by Sun Tzu, this is a decent version.

Fantastic clear narration. Solo reader. British accent

Loved how clear the narration was. Well paced. Great accent. Fascinating book for leadership or management skills, self help, or just plain military strategy.

The Narration Was Good

The narration was good, and the overall quality of the audio was good, but there were a few instances of volume discrepancies and tone of voice inconsistencies.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
