Whalen Vankin is the world's greatest wizard, and he has only ever personally trained two other wizards. Alex must find the legendary Axe of Sundering, the one weapon that offers a chance to defeat Jabez and protect the land from the dark wizard's plans. But finding it will be an adventure of its own as the only pathway to the Axe leads through the underground tunnels and secret passages of Castle Conmar. But Jabez has one final weapon at his disposal: the powerful Orion Stone, which could spell the end to Whalen and Alex both.

not as enticing as the first three but the book was extremely well made and had a much better flow to it unlike book four, once again Alexander Taylor get a power boost of unspeakable measures and if you are reading this prior to listening or reading I won't spoil one of the biggest parts that almost had me in tears just thinking what our beloved hero had to go thru... well done M.L FORMAN

Great Narrator, just like the previous books.

I read books 1-4 a couple times, then listened to them at least 3 times while waiting for this book. :)

Alex is pretty powerful but he takes on greater challenges, so thats fine.
Very good book.
Books 1-3 are still my favorite. There was more suspense I think.
-Whereas now (also a little in book 4) Alex is
A dragon and well, powerful.
-Also his O-gash seems to kill some of the
suspense as well, giving Alex
answers when it should let him just figure it
out maybe.

Yet this book is awesome because our main characters story continues. And Whalen is more involved in this book.

M. L. Forman please write a book 6!
I think Alex should go on a bunch of new adventures as the leader and he can help;
train the new kids in his group,
bail them out of trouble,
And enforce the values and honor as he travels throughout the land as usual.
-And if needed you can have this new
adventure in book 6 something real big and
worthy of his time.
-OR, it can be like a spinoff book, where Alex
Has downtime and just helps on adventures
just for fun! Why not. :)

I loved how he tied up all the loose ends. And his storytelling was amazing truly he has a gift. I was entrapped in this story from the moment I got it I really encourage you to get it.

Reminds me of Lord of the Rings but better. Love the genuine main character and how he has grown up in the series. The author does a great job of story and character building! I have listened to these books over and over! Well done!

wonderful narrator!! I wish Mr. Forman would have been able to finish the series like he originally envisioned. I understand health issues required him to cut it 3 books short, so the ending seems rushed and not quite satisfying. There are lots of loose ends that couldn't get tied up. All things considered, I liked the book well enough.
