Wonderful

Loved the subject, loved the story. It was great. Even though it only showed mild bullying it was still very very good

Great premise, but story drags

This story went into mind-numbing detail, though the basic storyline was a great one. The narrator had a lilting, nice voice, but her delivery was very wooden - almost robotic at points. All in all, I'm still glad I listened to the novel, but I wish it had been edited down by about half. The other option would have been to get into more detail about Sam's transition. The changes he goes through are almost an afterthought.

Important and Moving Book

It was so good to hear a story about coming of age as a trans (F-M) boy and the impact of all those adjacent. The story itself was sweet, and brought to light important issues.
I wish the author had a great editor. The writing could use some cleaning up. But I’m still very glad the book was published and made into an audiobook.
The narrator was truly terrible, I’m sorry to say. The worst I’ve ever heard after many years and hundreds of audiobooks.
Nonetheless, I loved this book and found it very moving. I hope many more authors write fiction about f2m transgender males. I am very grateful to Rachel Eliason for writing this book.

Good book!!

A very good coming of age story that deals with the controversial topic of Transgender. I would definitely recommend the book. The plot is a little hokey but the message is still a good one. Not in love with the narrator but she did a decent enough job. over good book!

A Coming of Age Story for a Transgender

Sam was born with a brain that that told him that he wasn’t a girl. This is the story of his transition with the support of his best friend, Alecia. Great descriptions of LGBT people and the challenges they face every day. Great performance.

The Best Boy Ever Made

This book was ok. I did not like the introduction and it was slow going for a good part of the book. The narration could have been better. The overall love connection was very predictable early in the book.
