Publisher's summary

In the vein of the Reese's Book Club x Hello Sunshine Book Club pick The Other Woman, Sandie Jones’s heart-pounding new novel The Blame Game will keep listeners on the edge of their seats.

Games can be dangerous. But blame can be deadly.

As a psychologist specializing in domestic abuse, Naomi has found it hard to avoid becoming overly invested in her clients’ lives. But after helping Jacob make the decision to leave his wife, Naomi worries that she’s taken things too far. Then Jacob goes missing, and her files on him vanish. . . .

But as the police start asking questions about Jacob, Naomi’s own dark past emerges. And as the truth comes to light, it seems that it’s not just her clients who are in danger.

Not great

Not terrible, but not great. Spent the majority of the time yelling at the main character in my head for her idiotic actions throughout the story. Narration was very good.

Overall good story line

This was a great book and story line overall. However, I felt that I correctly predicted throughout the book so I found myself disappointed in that sense. Great beach listen!

Fantastic and frightfully engaging

Kim Sullivan
This book is so filled with second guessing and the ending is one that will leave you shocked and beyond! Love this author and her books are always page turning or driving around one more block to get more of her brilliant creations. Absolutely sensational!!!

The heroine was an idiot

I have a hard time reading books where the plot hinges on someone making terrible decisions one after the next and constantly jumping to the obviously wrong conclusion. But I finished it because I wanted to find out what happened so it got an extra star.

The Blame Game

My best friend read this book as part of her book club. She was super into the book and suggested it to me. I am very happy she recommended it to me. I enjoyed it a lot and look forward to listening to it again and seeing what other books Sandie Jones has written. She has a good writing style.

Definitely worth a listen!

I enjoyed this book throughly. I was pulled in and didn’t want to stop listening right from the start.

I took off one start only because it’s another book where a seemingly smart and self aware character makes ridiculous decisions with no self awareness. They contradict each other.

The narration and performance was phenomenal. I could listen to Karissa Vacker read instructions to on how to assemble a desk.

Hard to get into

It’s the narrator who makes or breaks the audiobook, and this narrator was terrible. The overdramatized whispering sounded like she was reading the whole time, the mens voices were horrible. Story……meh. It kept my interest because of the twists, but the annoying voices lost it for me. I love Sandie Jones’ books- this was not her best work. Perhaps it could have been better with a better narrator.
