About this listen

A brand new enemies to lovers age gap steamy standalone romance. A grumpy, reclusive New York billionaire meets his match in the maid who makes his bed (in more ways than one).

When an older guy with a dirty grin and an expensive suit flirts with me from the next barstool, I don’t realize I’m about to have a one-night stand with the man I desperately want to work for.

After a night that leaves my world (and body) shaken, I start my summer job housekeeping in a five-star hotel even though I’m determined to kickstart my career in tech. As I dust and polish the Park Suite, in walks Mr. Dirty Grin—now with an icy glare.

Why is the man from last night who was so charming (and good with his tongue) so furious this morning? As I piece together the puzzle, I discover the guest in the Park Suite is none other than Ben Fort, the reclusive tech mogul I want to work for.

Ben has kept his identity hidden for years and he wants to know how I figured him out overnight.

As he questions me, I don’t waste time telling him he’s a (super-hot) grump who needs to lighten up—and give me a job. I don’t want to sleep my way to the top, and he doesn’t trust me. But neither of us can resist the sizzling sparks that fly every time I fluff his pillows.

I think I enjoyed the story

The story was good, but I did not enjoy the narration on this one. I always love a Louise Bay.

Entertaining listen

This is book one in the latest series frrom Louise Bay and is an entertaining read. This is Bennett Fordham (aka Ben Fort) and Efa “Eddie” Cadogan’s story and I was drawn into the story that Ms. Bay wove.

Ben loves his privacy and is unhappy when Eddie discovers his identity as he has worked hard to remain a mystery. The Boss + The Maid = Chemistry was full of humour, steam, love and romance and it ticked a number of boxes for me. It was a well written, steamy, witty story that I enjoyed. Ben and Eddie could not be more opposite and yet as a couple they work well together.

The witty banter between Ben and his friends added an additional layer to the story and left me with a smile on my face. The narration by Robert Hatchet and Zara Hampton-Brown brought the story and characters to life.

Great Characters

Author Louise Bay creates the most amazing characters. The dialogue is always a cut above and you know that the secondary characters will all have their own stories, too. The Boss + The Maid = Chemistry is a terrific beginning to a new series.

Enjoyed The Story

I like the story, however, didn't like the women's narration of the man. I wished these stories were duet. I think that makes it much more enjoyable. Overall, it was a book.

Cute and fun as always!

Love Louise Bay stories. Always fun and a little spicy.

The male narration on this one was great! The female, awesome as the female voice but when doing the male voice - yikes.

4 chili peppers

Could have had 1 more spicy scene. I liked this book, but I read The Player + The Pact = I Do first and I knew what was going to happen.

CHEMISTRY + EASY PLOT + ROBERT HATCHET = 5 ⭐️

I really enjoyed Efa (aka Eddie) and Bennet’s romance ~ which was kinda ‘insta’ but still came with walls and secrecy.. and a good dose of chemistry. LB’s sweet, fun, witty tale centers around a career driven, frank and honest 21 yo and a 34 yo semi-reclusive Billionaire who finds it hard to trust. It should’ve just been about the sex but Bennet can’t resist Efa’s sassy straight-talking charm and pretty soon feelings between them build and build… until he starts to 2 + 2 = 10 the clues that all point to Efa being his number one suspect. She’ll plead her innocence, she’ll try to find the real suspect, she’ll get her heart broken and she’ll forgive him too.. but will she get her happily ever after?

Worth a credit? Yes, it’s cute and has likeable characters who deserve each other in a very entertaining and satisfying plot with sex, banter, light action, a problem or two and brings in Bennet’s close circle of single best friends who all own Hotels. And then this becomes a great introduction and start to a whole new series of books (hopefully🤞). The British narration by Zara Hampton-Brown was ok.. and Robert Hatchet was just about purrrrfect 😘 I could listen to him all day… well I guess I did 🥴😍.

great enjoyable story

I do like Louise Bay stories they're always entertaining very enjoyable this one no different though I will say that the main character he well he was very secretive which made it for a bit of a different angle for the story and she was very light and bubbly so kind of like a grumpy old guy it was definitely an angel Gap in there so if you like that you could use that angle as well the story all in all was very good and very entertaining the male narrator did a fantastic job bringing him to life and I enjoyed the female narrator as well is very good at her at her female voice and was really good at bringing her to life I didn't care for her male voice all that much but it still was fine it did not ruin the story for me or anything.

Billionaire Romance

This Audiobook was steamy and fun. The FMC, Efa, was a 21-year-old who was too good for the MMC, Bennett. She was more mature than him, especially with the 23-year age gap. She was also more intelligent than him, uncovering who was trying to hack his system. I loved how she stood her ground and didn't compromise what she wanted in a relationship. Keep listening/reading because the grovel is worth it.
