Refreshing

I’ve come to dread the short story collections over the last few books but this was a surprisingly good collection.

Another good anthology from the Horus Heresy

Most stories were enjoyable. Russ, Mechanicum, Knights Errant, fun stories all around. And best of all, in my opinion, Oll Person has a short story to catch us up on where he and the other Calth survivors have been spending the past few years.

A rare anthology that stands on its own

Other than cybernetica that dragged on for what felt like a year, this is a very strong set of short stories and novellas. Stand outs were Wolf King, Ordo Sinister and Binary Succession.

not impressed

Another series of fluff cannon. Techmarines willy nilly throwing tanks, simultaneously blocking 5 shots while killing 6 people and also reprogramming all evil to be non heresy

A Decent Anthology

In a series inundated with mediocre anthologies this stands out as an actually entertaining one. Moreover several of its stories, disjointed and out of timeline as they tend to be are actually important including covering the change from Mechanicum to Adeptus Mechanicus

Slow start, but worth listening to

The first two stories are ok, but the third one, Cybernetica, was bad. It states off good, but went on for too long and was very predictable and boring by the end of it. However, the stories after that were much better.

Good mash-up of stories

This is a good compilation of several stories that offers some great insight and past history that has always been glossed over.

its warhammer 40k

Its warhammer 40k, need I say more. its better than a star wars novel, but not an epoch of fiction. Get this one if you like Jonathan Keebles amazing voice and you like nice short stories. I wish we could have spent more time with Ol Perssons, especially since as a perpetual he has all the time in the worlds.
