A well-written short read from a good author

The Chocolate Magic Café: A Chocolate Magic Cozy Mystery - BOOK 1, my ninth read from author Olivia Swift and the first of the Chocolate Magic Cozy Mystery Series. A well-paced cozy mystery. The plot is consistent & clever steadily building to a satisfying ending. Sarah K. Lynn's narration adds to the enjoyment. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Not quite what I thought it would be, but good

I enjoyed the story and thought it was very well written, although it was a bit more romancey than I was expecting or would normally would listen to. The narrator was good, but sounded little unpracticed. I think she'll be great with a few more books under her belt :) Full disclosure, I received this book for free in exchange for my honest review.

Cute read

This was a cute romance with a little bit of magic. I would not classify it as a cozy mystery.

Magda inherits her late aunt Gertie’s ramshackle barn. She decides to turn it into a chocolate shop with the help of a man she hated growing up, but is now building a romance with. You really have to give it creative license in the fact that the love interest, a successful contractor came in and was able to start renovating right away.

Otherwise it was a cute read and the chocolate descriptions left me droolin

Fun new series!

The Chocolate Magic Cafe is book #1 in the Chocolate Magic Cozy Mystery series by Olivia Swift. Audible versions narrated by Sarah K. Lynn.

Magda Caraganic inherited a stable and decided to convert it into a cafe to sell her chocolates. She found she shared it with a ghost cat that some could see and others couldn’t.

I’ve read later books in the series and I really enjoy them. It was fun to start at the beginning and see how everything started, both with the cafe and relationships. I bought the book, but hadn’t had time to read it, so the audiobook version worked well for me.

The narrator did an excellent job. I thought she handled all the voices well, including the male voices. I would listen to other books narrated by her.

I own the eBook, but I received a free copy of this audiobook via StoryOrigin and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Ghosts And A Cozy Mystery

I enjoyed this cozy mystery. The story featured a chocolatier named Magda, who inherited an old building when her aunt died. While Magda was visiting the place, she thinks she sees a cat that can walk through walls. The story was creative and amusing. Sarah K. Lynn's narration was fine, although she mispronounced a couple of words. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Chocolate, cats, love and ghosts!

The Magic Chocolate Cafe by Olivia Swift features Magda Caraganic and her dream of opening her own cafe in a building she inherited from her aunt. Magda teams up with architect Sam Barnes, an old high school friend, and the magic happens. As the cafe is being built, they encounter ghosts of a cat and a young woman. Magda, Sam, and their friends uncover the mystery of the ghosts and successfully open the cafe. This is the beginning of the series and I can’t wait to read / listen to the rest. The narration by Sarah K. Lynn is very good. I received a free copy of the audiobook and this is my honest review.
