Publisher's summary

Have you ever wondered how Jesus Christ would counsel you to vote?

After a theology degree, studying dozens of Christian denominations, and spending over 10,000 hours in the Scriptures, Mr. Rose takes you on a journey of discovery.

This book investigates what the Bible teaches on some of the world's most hotly debated issues, including abortion, same-sex marriage, capital punishment, and the welfare system. However, the subjects are examined from angles and perspectives you’ve likely never encountered.

The Christlike Voter will not tell you to vote for a particular party. Rather, it will provide a measuring stick to determine how well a candidate aligns with The Savior's doctrine on these divisive subjects.

Listening to The Christlike Voter will help you:

  • Teach your children and loved ones how to harmonize religion and politics
  • Learn how to examine scripture to see the big picture - not cherry-picked passages
  • Choose candidates, who, regardless of political affiliation, are aligned with Christ
  • Share Christ’s word in a compassionate way, without compromising truth
  • Bridge gaps between denominations and become unified in Christ
  • Strengthen your faith in Jesus Christ’s love for all mankind

In as little as two hours, The Christlike Voter takes the contention out of politics and unites people, even on the most sensitive of subjects.

Powerful and Thought-provoking

As a Millennial I walked into this book with a preconceived notion of what it would say. Instead, with thought-provoking questions, a gentle yet firm tone, scriptural backing, and unique stories, I found myself being lead to a call to action. All of the things I've felt determined not to take a stand on because I thought it wasn't my right to weigh in on the choices of others, or it was the more loving thing to mind my own business; this book held me accountable to asking a different question... This might be my way of thinking, but is it Christ's? What does the Bible say is Christ's view? And if I can firmly say that Christ's view is different from mine, why is mine different? In a way, this book lead me to a spiritual and political identity crisis, but in the most wonderful way. I'm so grateful for the read and the gentle reminder of where we should aim as Christians. How beautiful it is to be able to read something that leads you into making your own decisions, and for all the right reasons.

Mr. Rose knows his subject!

Mr. Rose knows his subject and the narration of the book is just awesome. The Christlike voter leads one through a number of subjects which are controversial and prevalent in our society:Abortion; same sex marriage and relationships; dependency and the failure to work; and capital punishment. It provides loving guidance for those struggling with these issues. More importantly if you trying to help someone else the materials provide a template to determine how you can avoid enabling sin with your love. It answers the question of why prohibition and punishment of sin may be the most loving answer.
Mr. Rose discusses each topic in-depth providing scriptural references for every conclusion reached. He is obviously a scriptural master who has spent countless hours studying the scriptures and their meaning. Beyond this, however, it is clear he has sought inspiration from our Father-in-Heaven to make sure his analysis is compliant with God’s will. I can do nothing but give a 5 star rating and strongly recommend you pick up this audible book. Listen to this audible version with a prayer and love in your heart for all your brothers and sisters and for yourself. We all struggle and this book gives understanding and direction.

An interesting perspective on issues

Rayden has an argument for how Christ sees things based on his research. The views are definitely based from a certain perspective though he tries to avoid obvious bias. I highly recommend this book to open your thoughts and mind on these potentially sensitive subjects and see them from a new angle.

Very Informative!

This book is very informative and well thought out. I like the use of scripture and balanced perspective in sharing it. Whether you know the Bible well or not, you see a clear answer to the issues at hand and know how Christ views each subject. It is easy to read, informative and interesting, I would encourage anyone seeking answers on these hot topics to give it a read!

Innnnnteresting

Personally, I am pro-choice, agnostic, and politically moderate. But most the people I work with are Christian. And these hot topic issues can be triggering, on both sides. I read this little book to understand their perspective. It gives me peace of mind to know people aren’t TRYING to be malicious when we disagree, they’re just trying to be faithful.

Loved it!

This book was so informative! There are so many important topics covered, and it was truly eye opening to listen through this book. I loved how the author used many scriptural quotes, but also used quotes from leaders of many denominations. I also loved that he used personal experiences to explain points, which made it very easy to understand and relate to. The author describes his points in a kind, teaching manner, which made it enjoyable to listen to and ponder over. I highly recommend this book!

Succinct and powerful

This book is a succinct yet powerful presentation of the idea that our faith should inform how we choose to vote. It addresses some extremely important (and controversial) issues in an articulate way. The author supports his presentation with quotes from a variety of sources ranging from several faith traditions, which I really appreciate. This book is narrated by the author and I feel he did a professional job, making it a great listening experience.

Great read!

Great information for the modern day voter. In a world where everything is twisted to support one side or the other, this book helps the reader to apply Christian principles to their voting research.

Very professionally written.

I was very impressed with the scriptures and the quotes of religious leaders that back up the authors presentation.
It would be nice if every American would read this with an open mind. It could help mend the broken.

Biblical Information you should think on

It was an interesting book that made me think more seriously about decisions I will have to make in the future. More importantly, it made me face some poor decisions I have made in the past. Having to raise a kid in this time and place will require more thought and precision. This is the type of book that can guide you on the topic of voting and why you choose who you choose.
