Plenty of romance and lots of action

The series has 18 books in it. It is 98 hours long and I listened to most of it while taking my daily walks. It is 18 different romances that start when an alien ship causes a portal to open above a planet inhabited by descendants of humans from Earth. Two ships fall through the portal to the planet below. One full of 'good' aliens, and one full of bad ones. The entire series takes place on this planet and involves human-alien love stories and first the battles to rid the planet of the bad aliens and then the fights to rebuild the ravaged planet and save its human inhabitants.

I was given a copy of this audio book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Mind Blowing!

this book was incredible! the story was awesome, it didn't miss A Beat from book the book. and the narrator who did all the voices was amazing! this is a very well thought out book a very well planned story and the narrator brought it to life perfectly with all of his variations of every character's voice. and the voices remain the same throughout the entire book for every character that he did. I am truly impressed with this book.

Very Good Space Alien Romance Saga!

You really need to read this!
Humans have migrated from earth to another planet, in another solar system, where they lived and built cities, and then the worst happens – bad aliens chase good aliens through a rift in space, and they both crash land on our human planet. Good aliens continue to fight the bad aliens who are now decimating the human population.
And then… the good alien guys find that they are becoming attracted to the female humans. And the females are definitely becoming attracted to the good alien guys.
There are several books in this saga, and some of them are terrific, some of them are quite good, and some of them are just OK. But as a whole, this is a really worth listening to or reading. I highly recommend this saga.

Aliens crash land but its not on Earth

I love how each book builds on the last one. This is a totally believable futuristic world. Humans living on another planet then aliens fall thru a rift followed by other aliens. The first ones start killing everyone and the other ones start attacking them. Can aliens and humans fall in love even though they look very different?

A marvelous adventure

This was an incredible journey. Aliens, humans,, and many other strange forms of life.. From book 1 the most memorable phrase "who says the end of the world can't be fun." It proved to be much more than that!!! Mariella and Tu'ver were my favorite couple. They had less confrontation with each other and seemed most comfortable to be around. Some of the human females made me furious with their hard headedness and need to be right and be the decision maker!!! All in all. this was a great adventure that showed how people along with Aliens and the puppet master learned to adapt to the changes in the world and people/creatures left. They overcame everyday obstacles and many new obstacles to be able to survive and eventually prosper. This was inspirational and impactful. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did an excellent job bringing the characters and story to life. I loved all his many voices and sound effects. Kudos.

A really fun listen...

...and a very good value for the 1 credit I paid. My review will contain some spoilers.

****SPOILERS****
As a whole, I enjoyed the series. It dies have some issues, especially later in the series.

The 1st 6ish books are the best written. There is an overarching plot with many sub plots and each book affects the overarching plot (generally it's the good guys get a small win and many more problems lol). However, after the 1st major arc resolves there are some issues with the writing. There are some noticeable inconsistencies-- things like Vhrex & Jeneva conceived a child bit no one else did; later, there is an offhand comment about the alien males having contraception implants; then, later with no explanation PM surprises Dotty with news that she's expecting after becoming an alien mate (but how?) and several books later there is zero discussion of it by others. Also, each book after those of the first arc are not really complete books with a defined ending. They instead have epilogues that function as endings with regards to the couple of that book. But as to the larger arc, there is never a sense of whether the heroes are getting a win or loss. Instead, each book introduces new problems, with the author literally having the characters either ignore potentially useful or problematic info (e.g., Mackey was given some critical info but as of the 2nd to last book nothing was done with it), or saying "i don't know what it is" or "i don't know what to do." And this happens until the larger arc resolves. I think it is why the series begins to drag and feel repetitive after that first arc as some other commenters have noted.

That said, I still really enjoyed the people and the world. And I believe a large part of that was the narrator. He is quite talented, handling several accents and people in the same setting with the same acdent but different dialects. Was it perfect? Probably not. But the narration definitely helped carry the series past the writing flaws.

Overall, it was really enjoyable. I will be looking out for other works by this author to see if they've improved.
