Publisher's summary

They’ll do anything to get out. She’ll do anything to keep them in.

When happily married Grace comes home early one night and catches her husband, Dominic, with another woman in the cabin at the bottom of their garden, she is shocked, angry, and most of all, hell-bent on revenge. That’s why she acts quickly, locking the pair in the cabin while she decides what she wants to do to them.

While Dominic and his mistress desperately try to get free, Grace makes a plan on the outside, but it’s a plan that is formed based on her previous experiences. That’s because this might not be the first time Grace has done something like this....

Who is the real villain? The cheating husband? Or the vengeful wife?

The new psychological thriller from the best-selling author of The Intruder, Til Death Do Us Part, and We Used to Live Here.

Entertaining but Labored

The author will certainly keep readers attuned to what might happen as the story unfolds, but I found the dialogues either predictable or laborious. I was taken aback every time the main character described herself, or her mother, as a woman who was made a fool. I prefer to read books that place the label of "fool" onto the appropriate characters. The main character could certainly be identified as such, but not because she was cheated on.

Great listen

Enjoyed it very much. Usually I only listen in my car for my 1/2 hour drive, twice a day. This time I listened while at home till it was finished. It was very well done. I recommend it.

Completely unrealistic

Could they not just take the door off the hinges? This seems to be basic common sense.

It takes a wrong turn.

I can't say anything about what is wrong with this story without a spoiler alert. It started off OK but let's just say your naked in front of a relative?!

Not bad but evil

I enjoyed the book. The narrator was very good. The story a bit challenging but kept my interest. As the Boss says: “Everybody has a hungry heart”.

Pretty Good

I gave it 5 stars because it was easy listening, fast-paced, and held my attention. It was more like a 4.5 but that's not an option. Not very sophisticated writing like I'd normally award 5 stars but the narration was great and the story was pretty enjoyable.

Twists and turns galore! Hold on!

Grace and Dominic, married for numerous years, have fallen into that comfortable, but sometimes boring, lifestyle that affects many couples. Grace comes home one night, rather than staying in the hotel after her meeting, and finds Dominic in that damn cabin of his in the lower back yard and he's not alone. Like any woman in shock, she decides on a surprising revengeful act; she locks them in the cabin with no way out while she thinks about what to do with them.

Hurst's thriller takes us on one heck of a ride as we watch Grace do as any level headed woman would do, right? She tosses all of his (and his mistress's) clothes in a pile in the backyard and burns them. She turns off the electricity leaving them with no lighting or heat, not to mention no toilet facilities. I know some of you ladies are snickering because you may know of someone that deserves the same treatment. I personally wouldn't go as far as Grace did but locking him up in his man-cave alone with no electricity for a day might seem reasonable, lol.

The book goes a little deeper than just a cheating husband and you'll want to grab a copy when it's released on November 1st to learn about Grace's dark past. You will not believe what you read! Great ride this one was!

This thrilling audio-book was fantastic and I listened to it right through the night finishing it in less than 24 hours. Narration by Eilidh Beaton and Matt Bates was great allowing for enhanced enjoyment of the torture experienced by Dominic.
