Love the Seth and Mercy story best

This second in the series was even better than the first book. The development of Seth, Thomas, and Mercy's characters delighted me...so well done, so engaging.

Wonderful Story!

I enjoy listening again and again. The characters come alive and become people that you could know and love and even get irritated with, at times.

loved it

I loved this hook and the previous one. I wish we had more authors smart enough to write interesting stories loke these.

So Satisfying!

I just LOVE Lawana Blackwell's books. She is a clean writer with interesting plot lines. So satisfying to listen to. I hope the 3rd installment of this series will also be on Audible. It's my favorite one -The Dowry of Lydia Clark. I think there's also The Jewel of Gresham Green. So VERY glad that more of this incredible author's books are making their way to Audible!!

Excellent

Highly recommend this sweet story. You will not be disappointed. So happy to have the Gresham Chronicles on audiobook. I have loved this series for over 20 year and was beyond thrilled to see it on Audible. I hope they will bring the Tales From London series to Audible as well!

Wonderful continuation of magical, moving series

I'm not usually a fan of books with strong religious overtones, but Lawana Blackwell's magical Gresham series is so well-crafted and well-written that I am making an exception. I became acquainted because I am such a fan of narrator Beverley Crick, who truly brings so many stories to life. She has made this book, The Courtship of the Vicar's Daughter, and its predecessor, The Widow of Larkspur Inn, so memorable. The author has made the main characters endearing, but flawed. Their vitality and challenges make them seem soo real. Eagerly preparing to listen to Book 3!!

Wonderful Story

I rarely give reviews, but this series is wonderful. What great stories within stories. So many good truths buried in this story and the characters are delightful.

Sweet but lots of story lines

I skipped over most of this, mostly landing back on the Seth and Mercy story, which was the best. Along with the older woman lodging at the Inn. While this is a sweet book, it was just far too detailed for me. The details, as in the first book, were minutiae that weren’t terribly interesting. And not all the couples were interesting. I particularly disliked the nasty boys and their nasty father. Far too much time spent on them, and their antics were too far reaching. Bleh.
