Publisher's summary

This book analyzes the rude and critical natures of Aspie and OCPD husbands. It is intended to be a support guide for the nonspectrum and neurotypical partners who marry these men. The book is not intended to be listened to by a person with Asperger's syndrome or OCPD, as it puts names and labels to the abrasive and abusive behaviors that are typical with the brain wiring and genetics at the root of the spectrum disorders.

Many people walk into marriage counseling with the same goal. They are living with people who have critical, negative, and grumpy natures. They feel that they are enslaved by these negative people in their lives. One partner's personal growth is drastically hindered by the other partner's sharp tongue, rude comments, and critical nature.

If you aren't married to one of these types, you have surely met them on the street or at work. They are the people with road rage who cannot control their outbursts. Shaking their fists angrily out the window, they are shouting obscenities as they drive by you. You might even wonder if they have Tourette's syndrome. They are the rude people on the elevator who let the door slam in your face. They are the critical people in the restaurant who are too stingy to leave decent tips.

These people are rigid and inflexible at work. They blatantly refuse to delegate work to others. They are the ones who are vying for promotions without ever doing enough to warrant getting them. They can't participate in the small talk around the office water cooler, but they will complain to anyone who listens about how they were passed up in favor of coworkers. They complain loudly about how their bosses and their teammates must not like them.

Believe it or not, some women are attracted to these abrasive types. You might be one of them. The strong and masculine person you can't live without is sometimes your worst enemy.

Bitter

This author is bitter. While there are some spot on observations, there are absolutely no concessions for the aspie that has redeeming traits. none whatsoever.

Way too short

Felt like an introduction - not worth paying for a “book” otherwise interesting … now they should write the book

Blunt And Doesn't Give Much Hope

Overall very blunt and gives many examples of negative behavior of Aspie or OCPD individuals. Doesn't give positive options except to leave the relationship it appears. However, there are many people living successfully with spectrum Aspie type individuals and I think trying understanding and counseling is the whole goal of working out challenging relationships.

Author does not appear to have a great deal of credibility except an ax to grind. Evidently she is NOT a health care professional (Barnes and Nobles states "She has worked in and around the medical industry herself for 18 years and takes special interest in health and alternative medicine.") and uses her short and sometimes free "books" to traffic readers to her other "books" and web sites. Nothing positive given to work with but I'm sure some women relish finding a source that parrots their negative complaints. Not quite a waste of money, but close.

Poor choice of examples

I’m not sure why of all the “collecting” examples available to demonstrate her point the author chose “child pornography”?‽‽! I found it hard to consider the rest of the book as supportive vs. hostile after that. Geez.

Wow, what an attack on a disorder. Awful!

Very one sided and negative hateful minded author.
Don't waste your time with this garbage unless you prefer to make your problems bigger, play victim and put blame on other people. If you're looking to improve your life and mindset then don't read this or any of this authors books.

Terrible!!

I am an NT individual who downloaded this to understand a little more around the topic.

This is written in such a way that makes a person with these disabilities sound like a criminal and that there actions are intentional motivated by malicious intent.

Uneducated content clearly written by a individual with a sore narrow perspective on the topic.

I’m Not Crazy

This is my last 35 years with my husband in a nutshell. Thank God he’s not into porn, and I know deep down he loves me, but it is NOT easy. Now I need a book on how to deal with his anger and outburst.
