Publisher's summary

What darkness can frighten the void?

Captain Morgan Starling is a survivor, and the last remnant of her crew. Morgan fights for every scrap of air, stranded in the bowels of her derelict ship.

When she is picked up by an alien starship, Morgan finds herself a prisoner of war, forced to excavate an ancient ruin. She was not alone, and the nightmare that killed her crew is getting ready to begin its massacre again.

As something awakes from within the earth, ancient enemies threaten to tear the world apart. Morgan and her fellow prisoners must try and escape amongst this maelstrom of horror.

Morgan must fight to escape from the warring nightmares, to warn the galaxy of the terror that lurks out beyond the stars.

Horror In Space

In the first book, Captain Morgan Sterling and some of her crew were saved by an individual, from an alien race, who made the ultimate sacrifice. The alien called himself a Ventuvan. By the end of the book, Captain Morgan is the only survivor. In the second book, she is rescued from her derelict spaceship and made a prisoner by the Ventuvans. They tow her ship with them to salvage it. Unbeknownst to everyone, the nightmare that massacred Captain Morgan's crew has been growing in her ship. Its presence awakens an inhabitant that had been dormant on the planet where Captain Morgan and other prisoners are forced to work in an excavation. The second book is more exciting than the first book with more twists, turns, and horror. A great story for anyone who likes this genre. Matt Jenkins does a fabulous job with the narration. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

from deep space to planet bound, evil awakens

Follow on to The Void Beyond. Survivor (s) from the first encounter with the Big Bad escape on badly damaged ship. Only to be rescued by the alien race the human race is at war. Taken to nearby planet, the survivor to her horror realizes she has jumped from the frying pan into the fire; a new evil that will be akin to being stuck in WWII between demonic equivalent of Nazis and Soviets slaughtering all before them
Again the narrator does fine job of giving both races a voice that shows off their "humanity" as they try to survive the face off between the two Big Bads.

Not my preferred genre but enjoyed it

Although this isn't my preferred genre, I liked this book. I found it easier to follow and liked the story better than A Silent Legion and liked the continuation of the story The Void Beyond by P.W. Hillard. This was definitely a battle of humans vs aliens vs monstrous aliens. Every time you think they have managed to escape the morphing monster aliens, something seems to always happen. They definitely struggled to escape and try to kill the monster aliens before being killed.

I received this free ARC Audiobook from P.W. Hillard.

Excellent!

Entertaining, thrilling and with a great plot I really enjoyed this unabashed, exhilarating adventure.

I liked Morgan, and I truly engaged with her fight. Alien horror at its best :D

And Matt Jenkins' narration was superb.
