Humble Every Man

Author has made it big on the interwebs as a gruff sounding meathead. My husband is a huge fan of the podcast and I hear bits and pieces by default. I’m addicted to audible and when I saw my husband had purchased this book I decided to give it a listen. I know his real last name is not Frank but I’m not going to try to spell his given name so Robert Frank it is for the purpose of this review. This was a nice listen. Robert Frank would seem to have the world by the balls yet admits repeatedly that he struggles with shyness, introversion, imposter syndrome and the insecurity so many of us deal with as well - however he’s humble enough to talk openly about it despite his public image. I kind of think it takes a certain type of human to survive fame - (and by certain type of person I mean narcissistic) so Robert deciding to walk away is not a sad thing. Good for this man. Good for staying true to yourself and who you really are and not wanting to numb yourself into being something you aren’t. At first glance the book does sound like it was written in the seven days it took - but that’s coming from an avid novel reader and on retrospect I feel this book was essentially a thank you card to fans and a goodbye letter of sorts - so I think it’s best the book was unedited for the most part and kept as the original from the heart message it’s meant to be. I’m a fan of good genuine humans so after reading this book I am a new fan of Robert Frank.

Glorious

This was a fun project. Typing it to a word document and actually reading it out loud for the audio book was a TOTALLY different experience. Thank you all who gave this a shot!

fan service

As a long time robertfrank615 follower, this book is an awesome look into his life, read by him. He's a good storyteller and it was good to hear some closure on some things like where MBJ has been. Worth the listen if you were ever a fan

Couldn't stop listening!

I'm not a book person, but being a Patreon member, I wasn't going to miss this audio book. I loved every second, even the little commentary in-between chapters! My drive one way to work is 2hrs so I was going to listen to it going and coming, but I was so hooked I kept my headphones on at work and listened to the whole thing in 1 shot. I hope you write another book in the near future. *Monster Pickles*

Robert Frank’s Death Review

Longtime fan and listener here. Robert Frank is a good dude. Don’t judge him by his car, rage videos, or his gym-bro humor. He is extremely honest, forthcoming, and very transparent. You can tell he is a hard worker and takes his craft seriously, it’s in the book, so don’t take my word for it, but more importantly, his attitude is genuine. Like I said it’s in the book. You gotta read it or listen to it like I did, and you’ll find out why he’s a great dude.

Great attempt by a great guy

I liked that he wrote the book in a week and then decided to do the audiobook all on his own. Leaving in some of the mistakes and including content not in the written form makes this a lot more enjoyable.

RF615

Love hearing this from the man himself. I also enjoyed the couple of tangents that lead deeper into the story. 100% authentic. Great narration. What a fun story hearing how you rose up in social media and some great insight to some tribulations along the way.

Transparency of a real human

Robert Frank is a stand up guy for those who know him apart from his internet persona, this book gives a beautiful insight into someone who was willing to flip his life upside down and see what was on the otherside of fear. Knowing Robert as much as I do, this was extremely enjoyable to listen to and vicariously view the life of Robert and not only relate to many feelings and situations he’s experienced (in a different parallel) but learn more about ourselves in the process. 10/10 recommend.
