About this listen

Not even the devil can stop Widow from doing what's right.

In the remote town of Hellbent, New Hampshire, a woman, eight months pregnant, steps off a train. She is alone, and desperate to find her missing husband—a nuclear missiler. He’s gone missing. No one knows where he is. The Pentagon won’t acknowledge that he even exists. She believes time is running out, and she fears the worst. Her only hope is a drifter she just met, named Jack Widow. Together, maybe they can find her husband.

What they don’t know is that he might already be dead. A gang of Army-rejects has been hunting for him. And they may have already found him. The gang’s leader is so evil; he might be in league with the devil.

Do you love Lee Child's Jack Reacher, Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp, and Mark Greaney's Gray Man, then you will binge the entire Jack Widow Action-Thriller Series once you've listened to one chapter.

Great listen front to back.

I liked most everything about the story and 99% of the narration. I could do with a little less of the descriptive gore, but otherwise I'm enjoying the entire series.

too short

need to write longer books at least three more hours. Not sure how many chapters or pages that would take.

What a fantastic book!

I wish there were more Audible books with Jack Widow. Ive listened to all available. I didn’t want the book to end. The story was fantastic and the narrator exceptional.

S&W 500 Mag Revolver!!

Dirty Harry did NOT use this revolver - he used the S&W 44 mag revolver with a 44special bullet which is not as powerful as the 44mag bullet!!! In a later movie he uses a 44 auto Mag.
I own all three handguns - and the S&W 500 revolver is way more powerful than Dirty Harry’s S&W 44 mag revolver and 44 Auto Mag!!
However, I still really enjoyed this Jack Widow novel!

Wish the entire series would be released on Audible!

In this book Jack Widow is traveling to towns whose names deal with the Devil. After visiting a few of those towns he winds up in Hellbent, NH. Within a day of his arrival all hell breaks loose!
This is a very entertaining book. The a action is pretty much nonstop. Although Widow is no longer NCIS he is still drawn to helping the military when he’s in a position to. Obviously in this book he is. He does take a few lumps but there’s always payback !
Alan Phillip Ormond does a great job narrating. He has become the voice of Jack Widow.
This book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The author is clearly getting lazy and wrong

The last two widow books, the performer pronounces nuclear “Nwe-que-our” like an uneducated George Bush the younger. In this book, they keep referring to the Air Force “recruiter” completely in error. They should be talking about the Air Force personnel or some other entity other than a recruiter that recruits young people into the service. The author clearly has no military experience and doesn’t understand how it works.

The series started off off as a good knock off of reacher. But clearly now the author is turning out books as quickly as he can to make money and doesn’t even understand what he’s talking about I would run screaming from this series and I’m asking Audible for my money back.

Widow is hellbent on solving the latest puzzle

Our favorite drifter has decided to tour towns with 'hell' in the name...this takes him to the small town of Hellbent, NH. Widow meets a pregnant woman who is searching for her husband and, of course, he offers to help. What follows is tangling with a group of former military men, hoping to spread anarchy...but then, they did not expect Jack Widow. Good story, albeit it started off a bit slow.
