Publisher's summary

The first book in a new fantasy LitRPG series has arrived.

A Goddess is stirring up trouble, and Arthur happens to be the one caught up in the action. After an unfortunate encounter, Arthur is given a second chance in a new world. To his surprise, this new world has mechanics that remind him of role-playing games from Earth.

He has been given a simple directive from the Goddess, to help the people of the world and spread her name. He quickly discovers this will not be an easy task. The world has been overrun with bandits, who work for the lords of the land and cause all the denizens to live in abject ruin. Can Arthur tame Dravincia and push back against these forces or is he destined to fail spectacularly and have to hope for another try?

Not Bad

Not to bad at all story. I like the premise of the MC back story. The only big issue I think that would need work on is the large scale battles, for example in the last battle the ranged attackers that had bow and magic didn't really drop any baddies when getting in range. Then there is the MC who let the protagonist run his mouth, why are you letting him do that? Just put a arrow or fireball upside his head and move on.

Also, no large scale AOE magic spells? Come on now.

New heavy hitter in Litrpg

Amazing writing and narration. Portal fantasy turned Litrpg. This is going to be one of the really popular litrpg titles. At 16 hours still felt short and left me wanting much more. Start this series today. I received this copy for free for reviewing

Good Story.

Good story and narration. The audiobook has horrible sound effects. I took one star away because some numbskull thought 10 seconds of loud effects at the beginning of each chapter was a good idea. I liked the story overall though. The narration was pretty good. The litrpg progression was good. In my opinion too much time was spent with stats and multiple exp notifications during a fight were a bit too much which I deducted another star for. The book is well worth a credit though. so with it still ending up with 3 stars overall tells you I really liked the story and narrator.

Warning:Very crunchy

Skill trees, crafting descriptions, town building, battle logs. If you like your stories in depth and full of mechanic lore you'll love it. If you don't, we'll set your fast forward to 30 secs at a time

Good intense read

we thought it was great. Maybe the music undertone during very intense fighting or moments. The lead is good although from a futurist world to his benefit im sure. We can't wait for next one. thanks again.

good debut novel

This is a great debut novel with tons of potential.

There's a lot of rookie mistakes, like repeated use of the same words in the same sentence and more tell than show… but these are not a deal breaker for me and I loved the story…

The characters are fun and 2,5 dimensional at least (somewhat stereotypes, but still interesting). Our MC is a little OP, though with luck on his side…

The world however is very interesting and filled with lore…

The narration is great and keep you engaged

Nice Book!

I received a free review copy.

I enjoyed the book. The main character, Arthur, dies on Earth protecting a woman from domestic abuse. A goddess puts him on an RPG planet in another dimension to be her champion. He finds a village that has seen better days, makes friends, and then fights, crafts, and uses magic to make life better for the citizens. There is quite a bit of crafting as well as stats in the book.

It is interesting how the main character uses his magic to solve problems. It was nice to see the town building and armor creation along with a blossoming relationship. I look forward to seeing how things progress in the next book in the series. Also, the narrator did a great job.

obnoxious sound effects

The story is a great start to a series, but the obnoxious sound effects don't do it any favors. That's why I can only give this book 4 stars instead of 5.

well-crafted book

Severson and Ochlan are a great team in this wonderful book. First Arthur, the MC isn't a sniveling idiot, but rather a smart, likeable guy that is easy to side with. The supporting characters are well-founded and add to the story. Ochlan does a great job with the voices and makes each character an individual with identity.

I liked that this novel about crafting paid attention to crafting instead of the inner well and mana pool. The progression of Arthur through his various levels and trials made sense and the story supported and was supported by the inclusion of the many crafting upgrades.

I am looking forward to the next book in the series and hope it comes out soon.
