About this listen

As a notorious member of the Heirs' Club, Bray Drakestone can't resist a challenge from one of his well-heeled colleagues - especially when it involves money and horses. But the friendly wager takes an unexpected and deadly turn.

Bray is forced to agree to marry one of his challenger's five sisters - sight unseen. Now gamblers all over London are placing bets on whether Bray will actually go through with it.... Miss Louisa Prim, the eldest sister, doesn't care a whit what the reckless rogue at the Heirs' Club promised her brother - she has no intention of marrying the future duke of Drakestone. Bray, however, sees her rejection as another challenge. He bets that the fiery Miss Prim will not only agree to marry him; she will propose to him! But why does her opponent have to be a divinely handsome scoundrel? And so sweetly, irresistibly seductive....

3.5 Stars

The Duke in My Bed by Amelia Grey (Audiobook)
Narrated by: Barrie Kreinik
Series: Heirs’ Club of Scoundrels 1

3.5 Stars - This was a good read. There were some parts that really pulled me in and showed me the feelings between Bray and Louisa, but sadly, for me, there wasn't enough of that. The storyline was good and I enjoyed Bray learning about what a family is. I enjoy the way this author writes and will definitely continue with this series.

This was the first time I listened to Barrie Kreinik. I felt she did a good job.

Unsatisfactory ending

The story was great, but there were a lot of gaps. The ending was especially unsatisfactory. So many unanswered questions!

Romantic and Fun

The story is romantic, amusing and fun even if at times heart wrenching. I loved the leading characters but the young sisters added a lot of fun to the story. The narrator made the story come to life. This is the first time I listen to a story for this author but I plan to listen to more.

Missing something

The book was satisfactory, a little more romance would have been nice. It felt like something was missing from the story.

Very good

I enjoyed the book. I found it a fun read, with a long slow burn romance. The characters were unique and likeable, even when they behave badly.
Great narration

Cute

There is not just one heroine in the story. There are five. And you’ll fall in love with all of them, especially the two younger ones. It is also the story of family and how important family is to a person and how sad it is to either not have family or lose your family. Each character is unique and individual and the narrator gives each character, a unique and individual voice. It is quite a job well done. The story is well written and in someways predictable but still a nice way to spend some time.

Fun and easy

I’m not sorry I listened. It was totally predictable but cute and I liked the hero. heroine was a bit annoying at times but it didn’t ruin it. There was a bit of steam and H and H had chemistry

Wonderful!

I realllly liked this book! It was a joy to listen to.... I laughed, and smiled, and shed a tear tear and there.... Amelia Grey has written a most enjoyable story full of rich characters, beautiful visuals and true emotion. This was a great happy-ever-after romance which will go onto my "Listen again, someday" list.

NARRATOR : Barrie Kreinek deliverd a excellent performance with all of the good qualities and none of the bad! Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

CREDITWORTHY? : Heavens yes! If you love a good historical romance then you can't go wrong!

HEAT FACTOR? : Very little... Some chemistry... a clear visual, a little steam but no real heat.
