Publisher's summary

If you want to stand out, you have to be all in.

In today’s job market, employers are looking for more than just talent—they’re looking for an elusive combination of talent and emotional commitment. They want people who will work hard, pursue excellence, and bring their best every day.

This attitude of being “all in” is what separates good employees from great ones, giving your career an EDGE. And right now, emotional commitment is at an all-time low. There has never been a better time to stand out and get noticed as an emerging, engaged leader.

The Edge lays out four simple, profound ways to show that you’re emotionally committed without sucking up, selling out, or being anything but the best version of you. Start putting them into practice today, right now, and get ready for your next promotion in a rewarding and impactful career.

Easy listen. Tangible ideas. Motivating.

This book is an easy and quick read packed with plenty of take-aways. So many tangible ways to stand out in work and in life. The way the authors frame the conversation (with humor even!) is motivating and simple (yet profound). It’s is SO PRACTICAL. I repeat: so practical.

Very good content.

It was enjoyable and had helpful content. I was hoping to gain for entrepreneurship rather than job mentality of building teams. Overall, however, I enjoyed the book and did gain helpful tools. I have enjoyed the resources found at myedgebook.com

Give developing leaders the advantage.

I've built many amazing technical teams for the last 20 years as a firm and for clients, from private companies to multi-national Fortune 100 public organizations. Every single team would be better reading this book. The conflict resolution chapter alone is worth the investment. I'm buying everyone on my team a copy to read together and start off the New Year. Thank you Adam and David for sharing your wisdom and experiences. I can't wait to share The Edge.
