The music in the background- don’t buy this

There is a looping 5 sec track in the background. I found it distracting at first and maddening shortly after. Buy any other version.

The gentleman reading this book seems to be having a hard time. A horrible experience. Please do not allow this guy to to read any more books.

I can’t believe music plays during reading

About a 30 second loop of piano tinkling plays during the reading. Does a loop of a hopak play during “War and Peace”? Riverdance during “Ulysses”. I get distracted easily by outside sounds and listening quickly gave me a headache. If there was a no-music option, I missed it. Horrid production decision!

A great book, but not the best executio

I loved content of the book, but the narration and eerie choice of music is unsettling and can be irritating. There are several points in the book where the narrator trips on his words, stutters, pauses or has trouble pronouncing the words he's reading. This can be expected from a public speech, but not from a audiobook that can go over the sentence as many times as it takes to get it right. With the background of the eerie music, the narration becomes very difficult to listen to when the same tune is repeating over and over again.

Horrible narration and music playing throughout

I was asked to read/listen to this for work. There are multiple issues I have with this:

1. Why is there a bed of classical music playing in the background (and a little too loudly in my opinion) through the reading? It distracts from the reading, and quite honestly, was trying to put me to sleep while I was driving home through the twisty mountain drive.

2. Narrator is horrible! He is very monotonous in his delivery, and doesn't know how to pronounce some of the words. For those, he just spells them out repeatedly. Very distracting.

Not by Freud. Mostly written by the speaker.

Not by Freud. Mostly written by the speaker. Besides, unbearable background sound on the recording.

Background music makes it very difficult to focus

Honestly I don't understand why someone thought it was a good idea to play such distracting music in the background, especially a book like this that requires a lot of focus. Ruined it, for no reason.

Distracting narration for someone that needs to focus. No music and better dictation would be more appropriate. Sad

The audio wasn’t that great and the music behind the narration was distracting. Dad I wasted a credit.

Background music and spelling??

I’m trying to wrap my head around the fact that the reader had made it clear he has read the book before but yet he’s spelling out words? My man you are uploading this to the internet, please look up these words and learn how to pronounce them. Also I understand that some listeners may need or enjoy the background music but it should be optional as it can be distracting
