About this listen

Siege of Terra Book 8, Part 3

It all comes down to this final confrontation – the Emperor versus the Warmaster. The father versus the son. After 63 novels and a slew of short stories, omnibuses, audio dramas, and more – this is the End and the Death.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

The Horus Heresy series reaches its dramatic climax. After years of civil war, the Emperor and Horus clash aboard the Vengeful Spirit in an epic battle of blades, wits, and wills. See how the greatest conflict of the age plays out, and follow fan-favourite characters from across the saga as they desperately try to influence the outcome.

THE STORY

The Great Angel, Sanguinius, lies slain at his brother's hand. Terra burns as reality itself unravels, and the greatest bastion of civilisation teeters on the brink of annihilation.

Desperate defenders gather, banding against the rabid traitor hordes. The Hollow Mountain, host to the pilgrims of Euphrati Keeler, is one of the last redoubts held by the Dark Angels while the unclean host of Typhus lays siege. Malcador the Sigillite sits ablaze on the Golden Throne, trying to buy his master more time. But time is running out...

Guilliman races across the stars to reinforce the Throneworld. Will he return to ashes, where a Warmaster of Chaos has ascended to godhood, or will the Emperor have triumphed? And at what cost?

The epic and sad conclusion 😢

What can I say besides Wow so much death and loss for both sides and for the imperium but as proven time and time again humanity shall unite and over come the dark with his guidance and light, loved everything about this series Jonathan keeble is the GOAT so much life brought to the characters which is a mountain of a task so sad it's over and I miss my Angel LONG LIVE THE EMPEROR

epic ending

great series that filled in a lot of gaps and the ending didn't disappoint. usually you either get a good story and a bad ending of vise versa. this one was awesome throughout

Wow!

Just an awesome end to the most epic saga! I'm heartbroken because this is the last book of the heresy series but all good things have an ending. I only hope that the great scouring series will be of the same quality!

Amazing for almost the entire thing (minor spoilers)

Amazing, almost perfect, but THAT is how Loken dies?! Really?! There was a perfect ending set up and it was missed!

EPIC!

The battle between Horus vs The Emperor was more epic than any other battle ever envisioned, can’t wait to get the hardback copy to complete the trilogy…

the heresy ends

an amazing finale to those 7 long years of betrayal, wrapping up the stories of many characters we've followed through the Horus Heresy saga.
A perfect balance of satisfying victories and soul crushing losses, Dan Abnett REFUSES to pull any punches, delivering the grim darkness we all love. Cinematic, dynamic and cataclysmic violence between father and son makes the wait from part 1 and 2 more than worth it. Not a single battle from any of the Horus Heresy novels will prepare you for the degree of savagery and cleverness they visit upon eachother.
PS. as always, both now and forever, F*** Erebus.

As we expected. Abnett playing it safe

Hard to take risks with gospel. Enjoyable yet lengthy conclusion to a saga. Some plot lines from vol 1 never addressed but great set up for the Scouring series.

All mah bois hate Erebus

It's was great! An epic end to an epic story. I just wish my favorite Horus heresy character didn't die at the end. I now see why everyone hates Erebus.
