Like the previous books in A Series of Unfortunate Events, there is nothing to be heard here but misery, despair, and discomfort, and you still have time to choose something else to listen to.

Within the chapters of this story, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire encounter a darkened staircase, a red herring, some friends in a dire situation, three mysterious initials, a liar with an evil scheme, a secret passageway, and parsley soda.

I have sworn to write down these tales of the Baudelaire orphans so the general public will know each terrible thing that has happened to them, but if you decide to listen to something else instead, you will save yourself from a heapful of horror and woe.

Because, He made the book... So he makes the voices perfect. And if you lower your volume, There should be no audio problems.

As a family we listened to all the Lemony Snicket books. Although it has been a few years, my children who are teens still remember these books. I use to have to download the audio books and then burn them onto CDs. Now I just play my ipod through the blue tooth connection on my car. Although the technology has changed, these books are classic. One of the best attributes is that you and your children can learn some big new words. Its great for vocabulary building. If you have a long drive your kids will sit there and listen to these books for hours on end. Since you will be trapped in the car with them, you will also have to like books. I enjoyed listening just as much as they did.

Snicket does a great job narrating his own stories, but there is just something special about that Tim Curry touch. A certain spice to it that kicks it up a notch. Plus his chortle takes me right back to The Wild Thornberries days 💚💚💚💚💚

Loved it! I absolutely loved it! Tom Curry is great as the reader. It would also be interesting if once the Netflix show is out, if they would do an audio recording.

I love this book, it is funny, surprising and really, really amazing. You can never get enough of this book! Sometimes I wish this series would go on forever T^T

An extremely refreshing, engaging, and professional performance by Tim Curry enabled this book to really shine where its predecessors failed. Moreover the content of this book is quite an upgrade on the first five novels. I am sorry to say that Mr. Snicket was ultimately meant to write books, not read them. His writing in this one was extremely enjoyable and Mr. Curry truly enabled me to enjoy the full experience.
