A Handy Guide For All Planners

If you have ever planned an event, or if you will be planning an event in the future, this book will prove to be a valuable guide. Linda carefully lays out the planning process into the major tasks that are then broken down into sub-tasks required to produce a memorable event. In addition to providing a thorough roadmap for event planning, I found that it was providing a creative spark. As she describing a given process, giving examples and ideas, my mind was actively developing my own creative thoughts and ideas. I will most definitely incorporate that creativity into my own next event.

Linda creates a thorough blueprint to help the reader ensure nothing is missed. She covers things to expect, but also talks about the unexpected. It is critically important to plan for all possibilities to ensure your event will be successful. In addition to traditional planning protocols, the book also discusses ideas and concepts related to the post-pandemic world. While the basic process for planning an event are the same, the world is different and always evolving. The book keeps pace with that evolution.

In reading the book, it is clear that Linda has years of experience with with planning many events. I would definitely recommend any planner keep a copy of the book handy and take notes in it. You will find that you will go back to it again and again as a valuable reference point when you are planning your next big event. Your guests will be glad that you did!

Awesome Sauce

Why cant all business books be like this? How does this only have one review! Creating my year 1 haunted house event. Took a chance here using the last credit, and she absolutely kills it! The only downfall is you can't multitask because every 30 seconds you'll back taking notes or in a google doc. It's one of those data stuffed niche books that absolutely perfect. On my third listen.

What is wrong with this book?

The book is constantly on repeat, she tells you how much you need this guide, how great she is, how great you’ll be if you follow her steps, but she doesn’t provide any content supporting that claim…I mean, I reached chapter 4, and there’s no content yet! Then, the chapters are on repeat! Like, chapter 3 and 4, are literally identical! It’s on repeat. It was so frustrating, I had to return the book. If she’s such a great planner, then do the basic thing and plan out the chapters.
