Things are looking up for Jax, more or less. He's met the girl (Wisp) of his dreams, got some new friends (the kind he'd fought with and alongside in his gaming), and even managed to start a war . . .

Okay, that last bit might not have been the wisest thing he's ever done, but the guy was an ass, and he deserved it . . .

The only problem is, they say an Englishman's home is his castle, and Jax's home is in ruins . . . this place isn't going to be any use in defending his new people unless he gets it sorted, and fast! He needs materials, equipment, magic, and people. Most of all he needs time. Time to get things sorted, his ships in the air and his house in order.

When you're surrounded on all sides, outclassed, outnumbered, and everyone's probably a bit brighter than you are, there's only one option . . .

Great story amazing how thinks play out and is quite interesting how I’d make almost the same exact choices in a game that his making lol so the character speaks to me but I also find it funny that luck was nerfed halfway through went from 10% increase per lvl above ten down to 1% yea some of us pay attention

an amazing rule set that makes it just as satisfying to watch leveling up as it must be for Jax! and the narrator?? outstanding accents and fun voices

I'm enjoying this story alot, Jax is a relatable character, and his character grow has added to the depth and light hearted side of the story. Balanced with great action, well written

the whole serries is awsome. I hope there more to come I like this serries better than any of his others.

This is just as good as the first book. Jacks is awesome and he can really make the listener fall deep into the story.

This story is absolutely awesome, the narration is perfect, portraying the emotion and grit of the characters with absolute perfection.
the story keeps you involved and has enough of comedy to make it fun.
I would absolutely recommend it to everyone I thought interested
