Publisher's summary

The very night Estelle Staab seals the real estate deal of a lifetime, her dead husband, Mort, brings her the ghost of Colby Martin...his throat cut from ear to ear. All the clues point to Estelle's new neighbor, Andorra Greenblood, but Colby's ghost has a glitch in his memory and doesn't know who killed him. Now she must join Sheriff Tom York to track down the murderer so Colby's spirit can leave for the great beyond. Before she realizes it, the murder case reveals a cache of old family secrets and a magical plot that threatens to make Estelle vanish - the hard way.

The Witch of Morgan's Peak!

This is the first story that I've listened to by author Sheri L. Broadbent. If you go to look for her on Amazon or GoodReads then you might want to leave the author's middle letter L out because I had some trouble finding her name with the L but as for Audible you have to add it. Anyway, this story was enjoyable, it was a fun story, very entertaining, so much suspense, and humor. The story contains shapeshifting, ghosts, shape-shifting, and murder. starts this story off with a bang, full throttle, and she doesn't look back until she finishes this wonderful story. I truly hope that the author makes this into a series. I hope she makes this story a novella, and makes it book #0.5 and writes a full length story atleast 6 hours or longer. She really should turn it into a series. I hope that she wants it.

This is my first time listening to this narrator as well. I guess you can say this is the first time I've heard of the author and narrator. I find that odd and unusual for me, a definite first for this to happen. The narrator Rozanne Devine did a great job with her narration of this story. I thoroughly enjoyed it immensely. I felt this story as it came to life. I'll be looking forward to hearing more stories Rozanne has narrated.

Funny at times..interesting...pretty good.

Would you listen to The Good Witch of Morgan's Peak again? Why?

Yes, perhaps. I'm sure there are things I didn't catch the first go around.

What other book might you compare The Good Witch of Morgan's Peak to and why?

Can't think of one to compare it to.

What three words best describe Rozanne Devine’s performance?

Articulate, Even-paced, a little stiff at times.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I had to break it up into segments, due to time constraints.

Any additional comments?

While the story was pretty well written, I would like to have seen some of the longer chapters divided up into shorter chapters with more of a cliff-hanger suspense feel.

All in all, I thought the narrator did a fine job. Very professional. I personally like to hear more variety in the vocal characterizations, but I'm sure others feel differently.

An enjoyable listen.

Estelle is a real estate agent and on the night of a big closure for her, she has a weird feeling at the house. Then when she gets home, Mort, her dead husband is waiting for her with another ghost. She knows this ghost, but since the ghost is newly made, his memory is hazy, but all clues point to his death taking place near the house she just sold! Along with Sheriff Tom York, she must find out who killed the boy and why!

I have to say that I really enjoyed this book! I liked Estelle. She has always been a bit different but when she starts seeing ghosts, her life changes. Now she must find the answers to the current murder before it's too late! She was a strong independent woman and I liked that about her.

I liked the romance in this too. Estelle finds it weird because, to her, her husband is still around, yet she has feelings starting for the good Sheriff. It takes her time to sort through her feelings.

The plot was fast paced and interesting. I enjoyed the magical elements and loved the suspense. It kept my attention throughout.

Rozanne Devine was the perfect Estelle, in my opinion. She has a smooth, almost grandmotherly voice. She was easy to listen to and Ill have to see what else she has done.

*I received a copy of this for review. This is no way affects my thoughts.*

A good story line

Would you try another book from Sheri L. Broadbent and/or Rozanne Devine?

I really enjoyed the story line but I found myself zoning out while listening to the story. I dont think I would enjoy listening to Ms. Devine again. I really think I would've enjoyed this book better reading it than listening to it.

What other book might you compare The Good Witch of Morgan's Peak to and why?

N/A

What aspect of Rozanne Devine’s performance would you have changed?

I would encourage her to not sound like she was reading the story and more of performing it with lots of different attitudes created for each character, it definately would've helped me to keep focused on the story instead of realizing I had no idea what she was talking about because I zoned out.

Was The Good Witch of Morgan's Peak worth the listening time?

The story line made it worth my time.

What Do You Mean I'm A Witch

All Estelle Staab wants is to close the big real estate deal and maybe find a little love with a living, breathing man. Too bad her dead husband Mort keeps hanging around and bringing her the occasional dead guest.

This book by Sheri L. Broadbent is entertaining with some cool twists. I enjoyed how she portrayed the pets. She definitely knows cats.

Rozanne Devine did a good job of narration & her timing was good...but she should voice for older women, more like the Jessica Fletcher character in Murder She Wrote. She made Estelle sound much older than her 39/40 years.

Very Unique Mystery

Would you try another book from Sheri L. Broadbent and/or Rozanne Devine?

I would try another book! I like the personalities of the characters- very real people- and new ideas that bring the supernatural mystery genre to life.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I think the narrator did a good job, her particular voice is just not my personal cup of tea so to speak.
