About this listen
The Gospel According to Judas, by Benjamin Iscariot, is the result of an intense collaboration between a storyteller and a scholar: Jeffrey Archer and Francis J. Moloney. Their brilliant work, bold and simple, is a compelling story for 21st-century readers, while maintaining an authenticity that would be credible to a first-century Christian or Jew.

Story
The fourteen short stories in To Cut a Long Story Short show Jeffrey Archer’s great skills with a wide variety of character, of subject and of setting, but all with that trademark twist in the tale. Every reader will have their own favourites: the choices run from love at first sight across the train tracks to the cleverest of confidence tricks, from the quirks of the legal profession - and those who are able to manipulate both sides of the Bar - to the creative financial talents of a member of Her Majesty’s diplomatic service - but for a good cause.

Perhaps no figure in biblical scholarship has been the subject of more controversy and debate than Mary Magdalene. Although she is discussed in the gospels of Philip, Thomas, Peter, and Bartholomew in the collection of writings known as the Gnostic gospels that were rejected by the early Christian church, there is no better insight into this mysterious and influential woman than Mary's own gospel.

Story
The book of Luke is a glorious gospel penned by one of the early followers of Jesus. It has been described as the loveliest book ever written giving us a very full picture of the life and ministry of Jesus. Luke applied scrupulous accuracy to all he wrote, to ensure that what we hear is factual. Being a physician, Luke learned early on the need to exhibit compassion and mercy toward others. This gospel is perhaps the most compassionate, love-filled account of the life of Jesus.

Are we living in the end-times? Is it possible the players depicted in the book of Revelation could be out in force today? And if they are, would you know how to recognize them? In Agents of the Apocalypse, noted prophecy expert Dr. David Jeremiah does what no prophecy expert has done before. He explores the book of Revelation through the lens of its major players—the exiled, the martyrs, the elders, the victor, the king, the judge, the 144,000, the witnesses, the false prophet, and the beast.

Francis' life exemplifies what it means to be a genuine disciple of Jesus, walking in Christ's footsteps to show how ultimate truth is lived in small, unique ways. Franciscan Father Murray Bodo takes us on the journey with Francis, as we see his pain, his suffering, his dying to self. Story
Jack Miles's book is a provocative and revisionary look at the life of Jesus, in which many of the most well-worn truths about Christ are recontextualized and revisited. It does not look for the historical Jesus, but takes the Gospels as the sole source about his life.

Story
Who is Allah? What does he ask of those who submit to his teachings? Pulitzer Prize-winner Jack Miles gives us a deeply probing, revelatory portrait of the world’s second largest, fastest-growing, and perhaps most tragically misunderstood religion. In doing so, Miles illuminates what is unique about Allah, his teachings, and his resolutely merciful temperament, and he thereby reveals that which is false, distorted, or simply absent from the popular conception of the heart of Islam.

Story
Charles Dickens wrote The Life of Our Lord around the same time he was finishing up David Copperfield, but to listeners raised on a diet of Dickensian wit and indignation, his rendering of Jesus' life may come as something of a surprise. You won't find even the shadow of a Micawber or a Mrs. Gamp anywhere in this brief volume; no Pecksniffs, Podsnaps, or Mulberries, either.

A powerful counter-narrative
A wonderful project, an eye-opening experience of a narrative we have never heard that is both more plausible and more relatable than the one offered by conventional religion
we need to redeem Judas’ image as a beloved of Jesus for our own sake.

The Gospel According to Judas
Enjoyed Archbishop Desmond Tutu narration of this story. This is a short book that follows the story of Jesus from the view point of Judas Iscariot. The most interesting part of the book was Judas's life after the death of Jesus. This is a pleasant easy to listen to story that is great for a commute to work.

Intriguing
I really enjoyed the premises. I have often wondered about the story from Judas's perspective. This story of historical fiction could be one legitimate and accepted outcome. Only God knows.
