About this listen

He'll make all her dreams come true… but only if she can pretend to love him.

In a realm of orcs and powerful men, Geva Okoro is a proud, impoverished governess trapped in a dismal, dead-end post—until the day the orc breaks in.

He's a huge, insolent, arrogant brute, swaggering with smooth, shameless wickedness. But unlike the orcs from the terrifying tales, he only wants one thing from Geva… her employer's gold.

There's no escaping his devious clutches, and soon a furious Geva is reduced to raiding her employer's house with an orc. Compromising her career and destroying all her dreams… until the orc proposes another shocking scheme.

He'll split the day's plunder with her—if she'll pretend to be his mate. For one month. At Orc Mountain.

Sharing his rooms. Smiling sweetly at his side. Smelling all over of his deep, decadent scent…

He's offering more wealth than Geva's ever dreamt of, but there's no way she can trust this treacherous thief… can she? Let alone convince all of Orc Mountain that she loves him?!

And, surely even her best play-acting would never start to feel real… or win over an orc's cold, broken heart?

The Governess and the Orc is an angsty, full-length, enemies-to-lovers fantasy romance.

It comes after The Maid and the Orcs, but may be listened to as a standalone. Happily ever after guaranteed.

Another wonderful book

Finley Fenn continues to write complex and well rounded characters. The Orc Sworn series just keeps getting better and better. Shane East was great as always delivering on the emotion and humor. I loved everything about this audiobook.

My favorite so far!!!

Loved this next installment! I also found myself not being THAT upset with the Orc ML this time! Bc honestly the lies and schemes have been WILD in the previous books. So this was so refreshing and I just really loved it!

Wow!

I have heard so much about this writer that I had to take a chance and listen to this book. To say my mouth hung open through most of it would be an understatement. I like monster romances and I like smut but this book was too much for me! The narrator did an excellent job and for the most part the story was great and really involved. The characters came to life and the world building was phenomenal, just not my cup of tea. I couldn’t give it a bad review if I wanted to because I would be lying. It’s was just a lot more descriptive than I needed while trying to work. Lol

I can't stop listening!!! 💚

as always a fantastic performance from Shane! I can't express enough how much this series means to me, I'm so invested in all the characters and their challenges 💚 everyone is so individual with their own stories, likes/dislikes and their families. I absolutely love them all, though this particular book is a personal favorite. I love Geva, her love for her students and her own individuality. Rathgar has his own challenges he has to face and overcome, trust to give and take. I love that we got another more in-depth look at Kest and his story too, since he's one of my favorite characters and he's in every book giving a little more about himself and his role in the mountain with Eft in the clinic. if you like orcs, drama, fantastic characters, and medieval fantasy with a little darkness mixed with lots of spice 😉 🔥 🔥 🔥 added in for flavor this is the series for you!

5 stars and 5 chiles Aaaaaaghhhh!

5 stars and 5 chiles

5 spice rating and 5 stars
Add Finley Finn, Salacious Orcs, brown grrl magic and the vocal god Shane East…and poof! One of Finley’s best. This is fabulously smart as the female character is a born leader akin to Rosa and Jewel.

Love this series!

Love this series, so much sadness in the Orc's history. There are soooooo many Orc's across the country not sure where the series is going but I'm here for the ride. Love the African heroine she was strong and smart enough for him. The humans are always the real monsters in this series. This story kept my attention, with all it's twist and turns. The Orc's should be glad for Grimarr taking over because his father almost cost all the Orc's their lives. Narrator did a fantastic job as usual.

Absolutely Fabulous Orc Romance

If I could give this whole series ten stars, I would. This is the seventh book in the series and each one captures my interest immediately. The author’s imagination has no bounds, both when describing the spicy love scenes and the inhabitants of Orc Mountain. The narrator’s voice is absolute perfection. I would write a more lengthy review, but I am anxious to begin listening to the eighth book in the series.

Time for a warning?

Future misspellings on purpose.

Okay, we're all about seven(?) books deep, so we know what to expect. They are about seed, lots of seed, and so much seed, I've honestly been zoning out during those parts for a while now because it's not my jam, but I'm genuinely interested in what becomes of Orc Mountain. Lol.

However, I think the come guzzling has finally reached Ludicrous Speed. There aren't really even many seggsy time details anymore beyond come guzzling, and the Orcs have eight O's before there's any sign of a woman having one.

Anyway, I was driving and couldn't get to my phone to skip ahead, and there was one scene where I actually almost threw up. I was LA LA LAing at the top of my lungs and doing my best to picture waterfalls. So if you're not a weirdo who's just still in it for the plot, you'll probably be happy.

They even talk about how sweet and delicious it is, so I tried imagining different possible foods that my brain could substitute for what was happening. It didn't help, but now I think I'm going to have a really uncomfortable time eating tapioca pudding or Boston cream donuts in the future.

Thank you for your time.
