About this listen

Echo Adler hates Reign Davidson. He’s the reason the love of her life left her all alone and broken hearted two years ago.

So it should be easy to stay away.

It should be easy to not dream about his dark and mean eyes, or his cruel but sexy smirks.

It should be easy to not think about the guy who ruined her happily ever after.

Only it’s not.

Sometimes his intense stares make her heart race, and those smirks of his make her breathless.

But it needs to stop.

Because she has a mission: to get back together with her ex-boyfriend. And Echo will be damned if she keeps dreaming about Reign.

The guy who not only makes her sick with hate but who also happens to be her ex’s best friend.

NOTE: This is a standalone set in the world of St. Mary’s.

Reign and Echo...

The Hatesick Diaries is the fifth book in the St. Mary's Rebels series. It is an ex-boyfriend's best friend, enemies to lovers, sports romance. This is drama and angst. The tension is high and the chemistry is off the charts hot between Echo and Reign. I felt this one was a little long winded, as with all books by this author. But all in all an enjoyable read.

Marie Hawkins and James Amherst did a good job with this story and these characters.

The Hatesick Diaries

I very much enjoyed this book so much. To be honest I was so mad at the guy for Treating her the way he did. I really don't understand why he was afraid of showing her his feelings. oh and let's not forget his so call bestfriend and the bullsh*@ he pulled. if I go on I might just give a way the story so you have to read/listen to this book.

Loved it all

I have loved everything I've read by Saffronand this was no different! This was absolutely amazing! It had everything you can possibly want in your books. It was angsty, spicy and lots of drama. It's long but I couldn't even tell. I was so into it.

The narrators really brought Reign and Echo to life. They did a great job portraying them.

Reign and Echo

I enjoyed that Reign and Echo's story wasn't a quick insta-love story, but rather their history spanned years. I felt like the immaturity of characters I've become used to in this series wasn't to the extent of some of the other stories, which was a major plus for me. I've become invested in these people from the series however, and I liked seeing glimpses of past characters' lives. The story definitely drew me in, and I figured there was more to the the ex boyfriend, so I was eager to learn all that drama. There was quite a bit of emotional topics as well, which developed the characters more, and created the redemption of characters from misguided burdens (I don't want to spoil anything, but I really liked those aspects of the story with the emotional healing). Narrators brought the characters to life as they stumbled towards their well deserved HEA.

Echo and Reign

Echo and Reign
3.5*

I listened to the audio of this story. The narrators did a good job.
It was told mostly by the female and to me it reminded me of a play I saw years ago. I found the story ok there were just some parts of the story that I didn't enjoy. Like when she was with Reign and he was talking dirty to her it was ok. Echo's responses not a fan I'm not a fan when characters sound clueless. I feel for Reign and what he went through, even though everyone thinks he is no good but he was always looking out for those he cared about and then the revelations that were revealed. Then the events towards the end I just don't get it especially since Echo told them what happened is not what it seemed.

The Hatesick Diaries

The Hatesick Diaries is the fifth book in the St. Mary's Rebels series. This is Echo and Reign's book. Just like the entire series this is a slow burn. This is a second chance romance. I really have enjoyed each book from this series.

Marie Hawkins and James Amherst did a great job narrating this book.

Excellent Listen

The St. Mary's Rebels is the first series I've read/listened to by Saffron A. Kent and I'm loving it! This is a longer listen that I purposely listened while on the road so I'd have few interruptions. Once again I LOVED it! It's a slow burn, childood friend, second-chance, enemies to lovers romance. I was completely invested in the characters. There were so many emotions. A really great listen and I look forward to the next book!!!

James Amherst and Marie Hawkins are excellent narrators. I love their voices. They brought this audiobook to life with emotional performances that had it rolling like a movie in my head. It was perfect!

Love this book!

My Rating: 5/5

My Thoughts: Saffron A. Kent is the queen of angsty romance. The Hatesick Diaries is my new favorite book of hers. Reign and Echo's rollercoaster of a relationship was so good. I love these two characters so much. Reign is known for being the troublemaker son; whom, Echo's parents work for. This story is told in different parts from when they first meet to the present and all the obstacles they are met with throughout their story. They both share the same goals and desires and yet they are unable to grasp that. Their love story consumed me as I rooted for both of them to get their earned happy ending. They both have selfless personalities that force them to make decisions on the other's behalf without realizing that in the end, they both want what's best for the other, even if that means giving up their own desires. This book has so much angst, spice, and growth. I can't recommend this series enough. It is so good.

Good read

The Hatesick Diaries (St. Mary’s Rebels #5) is an enemies to lovers, sports romance.

Reign was the epitome of grumpy to Echo’s sunshine personality. The tension was thick between these two as the story progressed. The drama drew me in and I ate up every word. I felt the plot was a stretch and the story went on longer than necessary, but it was still an enjoyable read.

James Amherst and Marie Hawkins did a really nice job narrating this story and bringing the characters to life.

A love story spanning across time

The Hatesick Diaries (St Mary’s Rebels) follows Echo and Reign and spans across time, beginning in childhood. This is a longer story with childhood friends, enemies to lovers and a second chance. I enjoyed getting glimpses of supporting characters life developments. Plenty of drama before getting their hea.

James Amherst and Marie Hawkins dual narration brought the story and characters to reality. Both inflections were easy to listen to.
