A must have for expecting mammas.

Worries and stress is a part of pregnancy for most women. This book helps you be at ease, which is so important, not only for you but for the baby as well. I love the stories from the monasteries, it puts everything into perspective.

More about the need for mindfulness without much o

Maybe it gets practical at the end and I didn't get there, but most of this book just talks about the benefits of mindfulness during pregnancy which is obvious. If the reader wasn't already looking for mindfulness in pregnancy they wouldn't get this book. Not enough detail on the how. Wondering if this is just an ad for headspace?

Loved this book!

Grateful for a pregnancy book that happens to be written by a man, but isn't condescending or mansplaining AT ALL. Andy does an amazing job.

Loved reading this book during my pregnancy!

Really enjoyed listening to this book at different times throughout the day. Such good advice—I’ll have to listen again and write it down! Also loved the different exercises towards the end. Really makes you realize how important it is to practice mindfulness for your baby.

A bit useless

I bought this book based on the reviews, but I'm not sure who this book is for. I've been meditating for 5 years now, and wanted some practical meditations, or even some buddhist insight, on pregnancy.

However, the whole book is "mindfulness is great, my app is great, my business is great". It's off-putting.

Neither a mindfulness nor pregnancy book--just the calm ramblings of a guy talking about how he wanted to write a book, and about how now he's written it. I listened to so many baseless chapters thinking "surely this is the one where the book starts".

For a more mindful pregnancy book with yoga practices, try Active Birth. For meditation practices focused on pregnancy, try YouTube. And for calmness and bonding exercises, try HypnoBirthing classes.

Reads like an advertisement for the Headspace app

This was a waste of money. Also written by a man where he mostly talks about what a good idea mindfulness is and that the headspace app would help. Felt like listening to one long ad.
Wish I could get my money back.

triggering material without warning

I was really excited that this was available to me, I very much enjoy headspace and typically very much enjoy the author. what was absolutely unacceptable is that the author goes into a meditation about losing a child without warning. I was pregnant when I heard that and it made me very upset. things like that should be in a separate part of the book or a separate file or something.

NO. It’s written and authored by a MAN

Wish I’d known this before purchase. Sorry, but give me a break. Leave this one damn subject to women to properly identify.
