About this listen

It started as a HellBeast’s mistake that ended in me making my own.

Now I am paying for it; now I am running from it. I am soon to discover how foolish that was, because you can't run from the HellBeast King, not when he still wants you. Not when that King isn’t ready to let you go.

So now I am being hunted, and soon he will find me...I know this.

Of course, he won’t have to look far, not when club Afterlife is the only place left on Earth safe enough for me to hide from the Beast who has been fooled into wanting me. But more than that, who has been fooled into declaring me as being the HellBeast’s claimed.

Illness uncovered

This is my 4th book of the HellBeast and it keeps getting better and better.Ella try’s to run away again and almost dies when she hears Jared talk about his late wife .This is when Jared fines out why he did not recognize Ella as his chosen one due to her illness.A great series so far and a good listen.

Getting better

I still think the narrator needs to learn how to read. See my reviews for the previous books for details on this. Don't feel like repeating myself again. I don't care for Ella. She is whiney and pretty immature and dumb. I do like the other characters and the world Hudson has created. Although Hudson still writes too many descriptions of needless things that have nothing to do with the actual plot, it isn't as excessive as the earlier books. I liked that we had the opportunity to hear part of the story from Jared's POV. I always love when books do this because knowing how the male lead thinks makes a story easier to lose yourself in. I hope the next books do this. Because of the narrator I would likely have not listened to these books, but I will finish this series so I know all of the back stories for future books written by Hudson. But if I never hear another book read by this narrator it wouldn't be soon enough.

super toxic relationship reads like a manual on how to become an abused wife

Ella is less than intelligent and lacks common sense like the rest of the female characters. All the male characters show every red flag known to history as abusers with her trying to write it as romantic. Super jealous, insecure men who try to control your every move and who your friends are don't love you. Trying to disguise this as he loves me and gives me great sex is just sick. Having been with a man EXACTLY like the ones so wrongly depicted as the best catch ever I can tell you that in real life it always ends badly. These kinds of men are all about control not love.
