About this listen
AN AMAZON BESTSELLING HORROR TITLE.
“If you haven’t read Gary Brandner, you’re missing a treat.” ~ STEPHEN KING
They are man. And they are beast. Once again they stalk the night, eyes aflame, teeth flashing in vengeance. Malcolm is the young one. He must choose between the familiar way of the human and the seductive howling of the wolf. Those who share his blood want to make him one of them. Those who fear him want him dead.
Only one woman and one man want to help him. Even though they can't believe their ears. Or their eyes.

Karyn and her husband Roy had come to the peaceful California village of Drago to escape the savagery of the city. On the surface, Drago appeared to be like most small rural towns. But it was not. The village had a most unsavory history. Unexplained disappearances, sudden deaths. People just vanished, never to be found.

Story
A werewolf is preying upon the denizens of a small town. The only people who know what it is, who understand what is happening, are children. A group of third-graders isn't exactly the most credible source of information, especially when it comes to the fantastical. They grow up being ridiculed, shunned, bullied, and mistreated by their peers and the broader community. Years later, it returns, but this time, Thomas and his friends are prepared for it. As grown werewolf hunters, they must use every bit of courage they have to face the monster. Nothing short of killing it will suffice.

Story
My fiancé brought me tea and scrambled eggs in bed that morning, and we snuggled together, talking about buying our rings, and about our perfect wedding next year. Then we headed into town. He held my hand and gazed at the ring I liked best, a smile spreading slowly over his face. Then a glass of bubbly to celebrate. I felt flushed, excited and ready for the rest of my life with the man I loved. We race to get on the train home. It screams to a halt and I run towards its open doors. Made it. I think he’s right behind me — but when I turn around, he’s gone.

Story
When Heather McKinley dreamed of becoming a doctor, she imagined curing sick kids and sporting pink stethoscopes. She never anticipated the sleepless nights, grueling exams, and endless labs. And she certainly never knew that her medical school earned the nickname Dead Med thanks to the tragic history of students overdosing on illegal drugs. But Heather would never consider doing anything like that. That is, until her longtime boyfriend dumps her, she finds herself failing anatomy, and her world starts to crumble.

Disappointed in the lackluster storyline
I was thrilled to see another Howling book released but was quite disappointed with the storyline. Hopefully the universe will be expanded isn’t a more compelling story next time around.
