It is just excellent

This program will change the way you see the world around and will change your life. If you found some inspiring truth about purpose of our being in presentations by Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle in Power of Now and Richard Carlson in You can be Happy no Matter What, Guy Finley will take you into much deeper dimension. His understanding of our role in the world is at the level of the greatest teachers of Buddhism, Kabbalah, Christianity and others. It doesn’t matter what your background is. If you have open mind, this program will fill the ‘blank’ in your mind. Filled with deep understanding of our being, we can solve many of our issues. Presentation of this difficult subject in this audio is excellent. Guy talks with such passion and with unique sense of humor that you cannot stop listening. It is needless to say that I strongly recommend it.

Amazing and Transformational!!

This was an amazing deep dive into perceptions of light and darkness! Rooted in faith but exploring the science and cosmos of our thought process! Would highly suggest if you are interested in becoming accountable for the light and darkness within yourself!

The limitations of Guy Finley

I have ambiguous feelings about "The Illusion of Limitation" by Guy Finley. Pros: Guy is providing a good mirror to look into for the listener, he enthusiastically delivers his talks, and has some great metaphors (the wizard "I-Mage", the "Ugly Stuckling"). Cons: he borrow heavily from Plato (Cave Metaphor) and Buddhism, but does not acknowledge these sources, he rambles and preaches too much in some sections, offers "the Light of Christ" as a way out when he gets stuck in his reasoning (I did not see the link with the main storyline), and has the ability to completely lose his audience at several points. In short, I am undecided. Not a waste of time, but I also do not find the urge to download another of Guy Finley's offerings.

Powerful, passionate, persuasive, perfect.

First, this is not a book reading, necessarily... but a passionate author pulling an audience out of their illusions will all his might.

Guy Finley gave the world a gift with this work, because it is FILLED with moments in which a soul is given the opportunity to wake up.

I like how this work progresses through our illusions... First impressed upon us, then perpetuated throughout life blindly.

Guy really tied it all up so well at the end, I found myself shouting “Yes!” at many moments where the convergence of his talk gave way to clarity I hadn’t felt in years!

I highly recommend this Audible book, and I will be listening to it again. It was like church in the best way...bringing you closer to God and to your own divine purpose. Thank you Mr. Finley!

many practical tenets but convoluted wording

very powerful and practical. deep insights into humanity. some of the messages were convoluted due to the use of excessively esoteric wording

Rambling mad man

There are some great ideas and stories in this audio.

However, these are let down by the presenter's painful preaching style that i found annoying. Often you want him to get to the point without his own emotions getting so involved.

It is punctuated with some amusing comments that makes it more bearable. As they say there is a fine line between genius and insanity. I feel perhaps the text version of the book would be a better option.

Not that great but still ok.

I felt like the speaker was yelling at a live presentation. I didn't enjoy this audio book overall but I did like some of the content.

Disappointing

This book was a disappointment. While I am on message with many of its premises, I found the author's delivery to be a forced and exaggerated monologue which strayed into condescension and preachiness. The stories and examples were way too long, and the convoluted sentence structure detracted from any spiritual wisdom on offer. I kept saying "just get to the point already!". In the book's favor, however, is the author's enthusiasm and spirited delivery.
