Must read

Didn't agree with everything in the book. But I guess it's a hard subject with conflicting biases we may already have. There is a lot that I learnt so I consider this book as a must read.

One of the few noteworthy works on the topic

I started with the audiobook then purchased the actual book because sadly I found the narration somewhat irritating. Not particularly enjoyable to listen to. The actual book is great, more savory, and you can pick up on the author's careful craft - she has some lovely phrasings and nuances to her style that this rather odd choice of narrator seems to miss or steamroll through.

Nonetheless, this is one of the few noteworthy texts on intuition development. Frances Vaughan's 1979 book on the topic set the bar quite high, followed by Shakti Gawain's subtle yet vital little book on intuition. Both are hard to match in their quality of writing and content and yet Penney Pierce adds something new. Something substantial. Her exercises, many more of which one will find in the actual book, are truly a gift to the student of intuition. I am grateful for Penney's energy and dedication.

Even if one is unconvinced by the controversial or questionable treatment of "the subconscious" in this book, it wasn't enough to deter me or to discount the otherwise insightful content. It was, however, not especially helpful or pleasant to have the subconscious-conscious-superconscious aspects discussed in the manner they were in this book. It felt insulting and sort of unnecessarily dark. Some people consider the unconscious mind a storehouse of endless resources and wisdom, some view the subconscious as synonymous with the unconscious (not in the darker Freudian sense). Unfortunately, this book conflicts with those positive beliefs about the unconscious mind. Again, one can work around this but it is worth mentioning since it is at odds with much of the wisdom passed down through the ages and felt more like a domineering kind of hinderance to learning and less like a supportive guide.

Penney Pierce Is A Great Teacher

Everything I have ever read or listened to by Penney has been excellent! I had a reading from her that was incredibly insightful and significant. She is a very gifted intuitive, and a very kind person.

I'm already very intuitive but this definitely helped me understand it better.

I wish the assignments had a downloadable PDF to make it easier to go back and do them.

An enjoyable & helpful subject

I enjoyed the subject, the tone and the clarity of the storytelling. It was a great companion during my long walks with my grand-dog.

ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS IVE EVER READ.

I was born intuitive and some of us recognize and learn to understand it early in life. This book was absolutely amazing. The author Penney Pierce, did not guess or strive for attention or perfection, the author knew how to reach the audience with wisdom and maturity. I haven’t read a book on this subject that can compare to this one. When you are ready for a teacher they will come is my answer for this book. People tend to doubt that someone knows and actually understands this gift. The exercises in this book made it absolutely clear that the author had wisdom and revelation which gave the reader insight not fluffy inspiration. I do notknow the author at all but what I do know is this person is gifted. Thanks for the wisdom I’ve gained from reading this book. I am inspired to share wisdom with others while on a path of harmony and peace. 🙏🏽

Long Story

A little long. I prefer the author’s other book Frequency over this one. This book has a lot of exercises.
