Publisher's summary

Thirty years ago, the Iron Wolves held back mud-orc hordes at the Pass of Splintered Bones, and led a brutal charge that saw the sorcerer Morkagoth slain.

Now, a new terror stalks the realm. Orlana the Changer has escaped from the Chaos Halls and is building an army, twisting horses, lions and bears into terrible, bloody hunters, summoning mud-orcs from the slime and heading north to battle the mighty region of Vagandrak where, it's said, the King has gone insane. General Dalgoran searches to reunite the heroes of old for what he believes will be their final battle. But Dalgoran discovers the Iron Wolves are no longer the heroes of legend, and they might just be more dangerous than the invading hordes…

HE LIVED TO DIE

STOP BEING A BITCH
This is different. I listened for over nine hours. The author seems to have some Abercrombie, Erickson and Tolkien in him. For the first two hours, I was very happy, but the story started to get a bit stale and tiring after a while. I think the author may have bitten off more than he could chew. Remic is not a new author, but he has yet to achieve the status of being well known. I believe he should learn to write shorter novels before taking on epics.

While I did not finish this one, I was intrigued enough by the writing that I have the first book of his vampire series in my wish list.

Very Bad Book

Was not the Epic story I wanted. Confusing plot, overly wordy, zippers and swords? (what the heck?), needs vocabulary help, who are the heroes, fighting parts are good, but lacks that . . . cheer factor for the winner - thing. Not worth the $10 bucks
