I have always thought the "traditional" way of investing (ex: max out 401k, IRA, index funds, 529, etc.) was my path to financial freedom. But as I got to know high net worth folks, they don't follow the traditional path. They invest in alternatives, such as private placements, whole-life insurance, businesses, etc. I've always wanted to learn how these people accelerate their net worth much faster than the normal, hard-working professional. So, it's very refreshing to listen to Lane's audiobook on his journey to financial independence. It covers the different stages of his working career and how (and why) he "leveled up" his investments in order to become free from relying on W-2 income. This is good audiobook to quickly listen to and create a general foundation of what can be obtained through alternative investing. Lane inspires me to seek more info beyond the audiobook so I can further learn/network from others who share the same goals. I know I am almost there, but there is always more to learn, room for improvement, and new ways to continually grow. I highly recommend a listen to spark that curiosity on how freedom can be achieved much sooner than you can ever imagine!

The reading seemed a bit labored. More importantly it clearly is not meant for median to low income folks looking to get into the business. I guess I'll take a loss on this one.

Luckily, I got this book for free using audibles free trial. Beginning investor here, trying to enter into real estate investing through any and every means necessary. This book had very few informational/advice aspects compared to the repetitiveness of advertising his website, simplepassivecashflow.com. In that aspect, I feel it really drowned out his story and the goal to educate the reader more about simple passive cashflow. I have not checked out the website yet but I plan on it and will update the review on whether the website is any good.
