Publisher's summary

We thought we had won the game. But it’s only just begun.

I was just an anonymous clerk who got murdered by a disgruntled customer one day. With no explanation, I found myself trapped in a huge three-dimensional death game.

Me and my team of hot girls survived only to discover that we were tools in a dark scheme to decipher some mysterious alien technology.

Now we’ve been shoved into a new but equally deadly game, competing against the smartest, strongest, and most skilled teams drawn from a hundred Earth timelines.

We don’t stand a chance.

But I’m going to get us through this anyway. Because something tells me this game isn’t what it appears to be either. And I may be the only one who sees it for what it really is.

Huge silver weiner dungeon. 👍👍

Our harem is now on the the next phase of the secret testing.
This series is getting more and more interesting.
I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
Can't wait for book 3. I'm hoping we will find out why the test area is a big silver weiner.
I want the bonding super power! That would be the best.

When's the next one coming??

This book is on par with the first one. Pretty damn good. Alyssa Poon kills it, Trevor is pretty bland and uninspired. My favorite parts are the dream sequences with the different Nick's timelines with the girls. I love those.

Even better than the first

I absolutely loved the first novel of this series and am very happy that the second one didn't let me down. Alyssa is a fantastic narrator and really brings all the girls to life.

Excellent 2nd book

Everyone likes to have representation in their favorite book genres. Whether its race, nationality, culture, color, geographic and/or demographics, we all want to be recognized. This series recognizes neuro divergence and actually makes it a benefit instead of a detriment. I would give this book and series 5 stars just for that alone, but the author has written a heck of a story. I keep wondering if I could finish these puzzles and challenges the team has faced. This is such a well plotted book that I can't stop listening. I wonder if the author will add someone with colorblindness.

To all those that are neural divergent...this one is for us

I recommend the book

When it comes to a sequel, I am personally looking for everything that made the first book worth it and then some. In my opinion that is this book. I'm not going to spoil anything for you so here is a look at what I wrote for the 1st book.

I've been a fan of Michael Dalton’s work ever since “The Makalang” series. He's got a new one out called “Master of Thieves” that's also a joy. So, I was very excited to see what he's bringing in the form of Sci-fi. Our heroes are snatched away at the moment of their death. . . or have they died? They show up in a room with four others. They're getting messages from someone or something that compels them to complete tasks. Their six-person team gets whittled down quickly, eliminating the only other guys. They face off against another human team and not everybody makes it. That's when things get really weird. I'm liking the story so far and I'm interested in “seeing” what happens in book two. The narration team did a fantastic job with their performance. I am unfamiliar with Trevor Jordan’s work, but Alyssa Poon is a favorite narrator of mine. I recommend anybody still reading this review take a chance on this story. As for the team that's responsible for bringing this story to us the audible listeners, I say thank you and keep up the good work.

(Update) “Master of Thieves” ended up being a two-book story which you can get as audiobooks separately or read for free with kindle unlimited as two books in one. “The Makalang” series has four audiobooks and books five through eight are available in eBook form. This series has also concluded. “Demon Hunter” is another series that I like from this author. There are five books in the series with the first book getting the audio treatment and a release date of September 13th. It'll be a single narrator by the name of Sierra Kline.

An excellent book 2 in the Escherian Core series!

Michael Dalton continues The Escherian Core series with an excellent book 2. The characters continue to develop, the Gamelit aspect is just enough to scratch that itch, the world development is on par, and the story continues at a good pace with just enough fun elements sprinkled throughout. I look forward to book 3! Audio Version: Trevor Jordan and Alyssa Poon continue to do an amazing job together narrating this story.
