Publisher's summary
Lily Fleury used to love visiting her eccentric grandmother Sylvia in Ireland, taking long sunset walks on the beach and exploring the nooks and crannies of the family’s old home Magnolia Manor. But when she arrives from Dublin broken-hearted, hoping to heal in Sylvia’s warm embrace, she finds the once ornate Georgian house in disrepair and the gardens wildly overgrown. Sylvia has always been fiercely independent, but Lily can’t believe she hasn’t told anyone she’s been struggling.
Lily knows she can’t leave until she gets Sylvia back on her feet. Although mysterious local builder Dominic agrees to help, from the moment Lily looks into his fierce green eyes they clash over how to fix the sprawling estate. It’s only when she hears the soft Irish lilt of his voice as he sings in the local pub that their arguments ignite a spark of passion neither can ignore…
But when Lily finds a trunk of tattered letters in the gatehouse, she discovers a devastating secret Sylvia has been hiding about Magnolia Manor. And she soon learns the real reason Dominic agreed to help out. Lily wanted to save her family home and could see a life here with Dominic, but will the truth force her to leave the man who has captured her heart and never return?

Story
The knight was supposed to be a man. Not me, Sophie MacKnight, a marketing associate from California. This must be a practical joke that the Scots play on visiting Americans. Because otherwise I’ve inherited a haunted castle in Scotland, along with one irritatingly sexy Scotsman, who would be delighted if I turned tail and ran. Frankly, I thought I would fly here, sell the heap of bricks, and head back home to a life that I…well, I was comfortable with at the very least. Instead, the people of Loren Brae are in trouble, and it appears that as the new owner of the castle.

Perhaps the real issue is that she can’t trust herself, as she hasn’t yet found a good explanation for why otherworldly images dance before her eyes. Until a few weeks ago, Leanne was a 30-something who lived with her mother. And yes, she still slept under her Barbie bedspread. Until recently, best friend Maddy was married to a man whose golf club got more action than she did. But not anymore. Leanne convinced Maddy enough was enough. They packed their bags and their miniature poodle and bid goodbye to their dreary lives for the summer. Drinking wine under the stars and splashing around in the sparkling turquoise waters of Italy and the Dalmatian Islands should be every girl’s dream. Except...it’s not all plain sailing.

In a year, she’ll have finished her geology dissertation, though she’s no closer to figuring out the answer to one question that plagues her: Why does she feel stones pulse with energy? A centuries-old curse, a mysterious faction of protectors, and a mythological godstone all sound like Old World fairy tale nonsense to Clare. Story
When New York-born Marianne’s grandmother Collie passes away at home in rural Ireland, no one expects Marianne to be the one to inherit everything. Surely beautiful Kilteelagh House, with its avenue of trees, its acres of wildflowers, and its mysteriously locked front door should have gone to Marianne’s aunt–who’d nursed Collie in her dying days?

Trevor Merriam doesn’t like being ordered around by his older brother, much less to a sleepy Irish village to complete a business deal for their family company. Worse: the owner of the land he needs to buy doesn’t want him there. In fact, Becca O’Neill loathes him so much that she won’t even serve him the award-winning scones her famed Wild Irish Rose Bed and Breakfast is known for. Even worse than that (and not getting scones is bad in Trevor’s book): Becca has an ornery cat, a mischievous Irish setter, and a famous ghost all intent on making sure he fails.

A good hallmark type story
I was able to get an advanced copy of the audiobook, and really enjoyed the story and the narrator, Aoife McMahon. It gives me a feeling of a Hallmark movie. Wholesome, light reading, and an anticipation for the happy ending.
This story focuses on an Irish family trying not to lose their family home. Lily is the oldest daughter and is determined not to lose the home but make it better than ever. Her grandmother, Sylvia hasn’t been able to maintain the large property and everything needs repairs. Dominic is an engineer/singer that has Lily frustrated if not a little smitten too. Thanks to Net Galley, Dreamscape Media, and Susanne O’Leary for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook.
