Publisher's summary

The thrilling conclusion to Myke Cole's Sacred Throne trilogy

Heloise and her allies are marching on the Imperial Capital. The villagers, the Kipti, and the Red Lords are united only in their loyalty to Heloise, though dissenting voices are many and they are loud.

The unstable alliance faces internal conflicts and external strife, yet they’re united in their common goal. But when the first of the devils start pouring through a rent in the veil between worlds, Heloise must strike a bargain with an unlikely ally, or doom her people to death and her world to ruin.

A white-knuckle finish to a gripping story

Buy the first book in the series, "The Armored Saint," but be prepared to want the next ones almost immediately.

Fantastic world building and conclusion

Myke does a fantastic job through this whole series of building a world that is both grim in nature and beautiful in execution. As the book (and series) marches towards the finale the veils of the world are parted and hard truths are revealed -- and hard truths they truly are (don't get to attached to any one character). I genuinely recommend this to anyone looking to satisfy new takes on magic, religion in a fantasy setting and the ardent use of military life that are led to the wayside in most modern takes of the genre.

Highly satisfying ending to a great series

Myke Cole brings the tale of the armored saint to its conclusion with everything I've come to expect from the series. Exciting, detailed, combat scenes mixed with great characterization, and that constant dread of who dies next. Myke is a writer unafraid of putting his protagonist (and his readers) through the emotional wringer.
Michi Barall shows off her talents as a narrator again, making this a very enjoyable listen.

Plays on several emotions !

Not your usual heroin story. A quote comes to mind, “ Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them....” This story exemplifies a realistic perspective of the latter.

Save your money

Great job narrerating, but the story was just horrible. Not anything at all like Sanderson, that is false advertisement. By far the worst trilogy I have ever read/heard.
