A missing child draws Deputy Daniel Clark into a bizarre investigation that leaves him questioning what he just witnessed. The closer they get to finding the creature, the more pressure they get to stay out of the investigation. Pressure from the sheriff and mysterious FBI agents who know more than they will admit. Soon, Clark learns that the creature he’s been hunting has been hunting him as well. The ultimate battle of man versus beast is about to take place in the Ozarks. Can Clark defeat a beast from out of our nightmares or will the creature claim yet another victim?

as in Missourian that knows this location very well it was nice to see locations actually come to live in this book definitely enjoy the book! I definitely was on the edge of my seat definitely want to know what happened next!

The story was great I loved it the only problem was the narrator. I liked his voice it was very soothing but but his equipment kind of sucks, all the skipping got to be annoying. But I hung on there to the end of the story, it was worth it..

Bought this book on a whim. Glade I did. Could not put it down. Characters were very likeable. Could not help but root for Clark and Sanchez. Loved the ending.Would love to see a book 2.
